SAMs Club is the BEST way to save money in Alaska! I can buy stuff in bulk and do my shopping monthly. The food lasts for longer times than just a regular grocery store. I do ALL of my shopping here! It’s even great for dog food!

Sam’s slipped a notch when they quit carrying the 6 pack of #organic Romaine recently. I’m very disappointed in their decision. I would like to think they’ll reconsider.

Good place to stock up on everything. Associates are friendly and helpful. Especially Selena, but all are great.

Tip: *Fresh kale medley at a very reasonable price! $ 2.00 for a big tub! I must say, I’m a fan of this location because it is conveniently located near lots of other shopping stores, restaurants, base, and it is not deathly crowded like other wholesale chains :-) While the customer service is not the most amazing in person and especially not by phone, we continue shopping here and are big fans of their vegetables and green produce. The prices are pretty reasonable too. If you’re looking to change your tires for the winter season better wake up early because it is first come first serve! One thing I really love and admire from this store is that they offer complimentary membership to military members! :-D

Everyone that works here act like they don’t have any motivation and look like bombs off the street. Been waiting in line for 10 mins but only 1 person in front of me. There is never anyone in their small crappy phone department

Good quality produce and bakery/deli assortment, but not quite as much of a selection of household items(if comparing to Costco), pretty similar to the previous location, save for the expanded bakery assortment. Which is kind of a bummer considering how huge it is. Let’s put it this way: Costco has little gems of stuff you don’t need, but want. Sam’s Club sometimes gravitates towards carrying things you don’t need, buuuuut may not exactly want? If that makes sense… or not… any who, brand new building, very clean and organized(see photos.) Layout seems a bit awkward compared to the old location at Penland Pkwy, especially the bottleneck-like entrance/exit, which are right beside the liquor dept. entrance to the right(if entering the store) and the row of auto tires to the left, leading you down the narrow makeshift hall with awkwardly placed customer service desk on the right, and the line of customers waiting for customer service, parallel to the tires. Feels a little awkward, almost feels like you’re cutting in line to get into an exclusive venue, and everyone waiting to get their membership card is like«dang.» Maybe that’s just me. \_(‘~’)_/ Feels a bit cramped compared to the previous location. Which is a bit strange once you get into the actual shopping area, with the walk spaces between aisles seemingly oceans apart from one another. How else can I put this – it would be akin to spreading out what little furniture you may own in a mansion, to maximize coverage, lol. I hope there are plans rearrange the layout(especially the entrance/exit/customer service congestion) and give it a little breathing room, maybe turn those Amazon River-esque walkways into slightly smaller streams.
