Really love this little coffee shop, the coffee is perfect and the food is delicious. Great location and the service is excellent

Went there for a latte today. The latte was one of the best ever! The place was so clean and very welcoming. I love the little side room with seating. Definitely will go again.

I LOVE City Perk! I come here everyday for my coffee and often for lunch! George and Lane are awesome and always start my day off with some fantastic coffee! FIVE STARS!

Love this place. They have the best coffee and I highly recommend the Caramel macchiato.

I work across the street, it was 2:30 PM… and I was FAMISHED. So I decided to check out this spot instead of driving down the hill to the fast food traps.
This is the perfect neighborhood «gran ‘n go» café. Today was my first visit, and it definitely won’t be my last.
I ordered a yummy Ham and Dijon panini, but I had a hard time deciding because everything sounded delicious. My lunch hit the spot perfectly, and I can’t wait to try the other items on the menu.
Now let’s talk about service. Let me paint the full picture of why I’m a fan. Normally I am a really chatty person, but was having an unusually crappy day. So when I went in didn’t chat at all. George was very polite and I noticed the «no cell» posting and chuckled to myself because I appreciated the sentiment. Technology has disconnected us and it’s just plain rude.
Fast forward to after 6PM when I was leaving work and looking for my car key…
I couldn’t find it anywhere and thought maybe I left it at the café. I tried to call the café, but the number listed everywhere is wrong. So I was going to slip a note under the door for them to call me the next day. First I went to see if my car was still there, figuring that anybody could have found my key and taken my car. Luckily, somehow George found my car in the garage and left me a note. When I called he then told me where I could find my key. I was so impressed, and RELIEVED, with the extra effort George made to get me my key. THANK YOU, GEORGE!

The coffee was quite mediocre. I asked for a cappuccino with soy and he immediately scolded me because «you know soy milk can’t be frothed, it will be more like a latte» which is objectively untrue. The coffee tasted burnt, like it had come from a k-​cup.
The breakfast burrito was ok.

Slightly overpriced compared to other eateries in the area however you can’t complain about the quality, especially with their cookies! Make sure you’re aware of their hours as they are only open for a portion of the day.

City Perk is amazing. This place has an iced chai even better than Peet’s (say whaaa?!)! You can absolutely taste that their food is fresh and made with high-​quality ingredients. You can expect the price point for lunch items to be between $ 6-​$ 10, which is totally reasonable considering what you’re getting. I mean, I pay the same for a packaged sandwich or salad from Starbucks and that’s not even close to as fresh! Definitely do not miss the City Perk explosion cookie ;)

Great little place… every time I am here for meetings I stop by for their awesome coffee and service… extremely clean and right on… wish more places were as efficient, clean and well managed…

The latte is not so great but the staff is so good! I wouldn’t return because of the latte. Maybe this other stuff is good.

Great service and super clean facility. Employees are friendly. Coffee was strong and the recommendation breakfast burrito was delicious. Not too crowded will for sure return!

City Perk is a great neighborhood coffee, breakfast and lunch establishment. The coffee is freshly made and the service is quick and friendly.
It nice to have a place that you can walk to for lunch or a quick pick me up The breakfast burrito is delicious, as are the panini sandwiches. There are bar stools inside as well as tables with umbrella outside and also across the way by the parking garage.
It is a very short walk or drive from the very busy Aliso Town Center.

Aaahh, one of those ones that are hard to love and harder to not hate! First, the place is absolutely perfect, all you can want and more! Green and sustainable in every way, from energy efficient appliances to biodegradable containers (that’s a big one!) to LED lights, to filtered water they are thinking about every detail, 5 stars for that! And then you come in and get to talk to someone. Cold, non stimulating interaction that feels odd in a coffee place where a conversation helps you to wake up as much as the coffee you order. Then there’s that sign about not using cell phones or they’ll refuse service. Then there is the empty space and not even one chair or bar stool or table, pretty much saying don’t spend too much time here, see if you find a spot outside. It’s like all this good work and thoughtful setup is there just to say «buy our coffee and hopefully food but leave, we don’t want to deal with you much» 2 stars kind of service. I bet there are regulars that get a different treatment but how am I going be a regular if this is what I get?

I don’t write a lot of reviews but was compelled to this morning. I’m not sure if it was the high quality, or the immaculate shop. Seriously, this isn’t just the cleanest coffee shop I’ve ever been in, I’m pretty sure it’s the cleanest business I’ve ever been in.
The coffee was strong, smooth and fairly priced. The breakfast burrito was a legit well done breakfast burrito, it might be over priced by $ 1 – 2 but I won’t begrudge a small business covering rent. My only recommendation would be the salsa is clearly Pace mild, such a well done breakfast burrito deserves it’s own equally well done salsa (with a little kick).

Delicious turkey panini + peach smoothie = $ 15 You just have to realize that running a specialty coffee shop in Orange County is not an inexpensive endeavor. You are paying for quality, location, and the perks (pun, intended) of a family-​owned business… City Perk has wonderful service. I don’t know if I spoke to the owner, but he was so sweet to me and my doggie… I love the location. If I lived/​worked here, I’d be here every day. Not open on weekends? They have work-​life balance that I can respect… Can’t wait to try the coffee everyone raves about.

I got a standard turkey and cheese on wheat bread, a hand full of chips and a drink for $ 11.25 which very pricey for what you get.

Not very good and not very friendly either. Closed on Saturday and Sunday in a community that is resides in. When asked owner why, he was combative, rude and then started calling me names like a juvenile child. When it’s is open, it’s expensive, nothing is fresh but just pre packaged food procured elsewhere and brought in
If you live in this the area avoid this place and have a better quality of service/​experience and food at «Bagles and Brew» a couple of blocks away that has great friendly service, made on site food, and happy owners, or if is just coffee you want, go to the Starbucks jus a 5 min walk from City not so Perk. Starbucks is open on sat and sun, as is Bagels and brew and the coffee is much less expensive and again friendlier service than City perk

So I’ve been coming to City Perk a lot more regularly and I wanted to update my review. They have a pretty good menu back, not sure if its their full menu but they have a variety of sandwiches, paninis, wraps and individual pizzas and specials!
Today they had a chicken breast panini with sun-​dried tomato pesto and it is awesome!
Service has been consistently good, and the food is always amazing. Since I’m in a situation where I often don’t have a vehicle at my disposal at lunch it is really so great having such a high-​quality café so close to my office.
They’ve also added a few bar stools with mini tables inside, nice for someplace to sit while you’re waiting for your food.
Keep up the good work!

Small place but they sure do make a solid cup of Chai!

Holy cow, I’m impressed and I am SOOOO happy this place is in the same complex (Vantis) in Aliso Viejo that we will be living in!
My boyfriend, his dad, and myself grabbed lunch here yesterday. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad and an Iced Coffee. The Salad was very flavorful, with large chunks of chicken, BBQ sauce, chips, and lots of yummy green veggies. I loved every bite of it! The Iced Coffee was yummy as well — I now know where I will be going for coffee every morning during the week!
My boyfriend ordered a Panini and his dad ordered a Quesedilla. After seeing my salad, my boyfriend said he wished he had ordered that instead (he did eat all his Panini, though). His dad said his meal was alright and would rate it a ⁷⁄₁₀.
Overall, I really like this place, expecially since it is owned and ran by a local and one of our new neighbors! I’ll be back again soon!
Side note, they are only open M-​F. So, if you’re in the neighborhood during the week, come check them out!
