First time here and I ordered the green curry with chicken. The chicken is rubbery and the rice they use is simple white rice instead of jasmine rice. Not bad enough to send back but definitely not good enough to come back again. Completely disappointed

Came here for a late lunch(around 2PM). We were welcomed and seated normally. After a short review of the menu, we ordered the calamari, drunken noodles, and pad thai along with a thai ice tea. It took around 10 mins for the thai ice tea to arrived and another 10 mins or so after for the calamari. IMO, I would never order the calamari ever again. It was so heavily coated that when it was fried, it come out almost rock hard and tasted very bland. Another 15 mins or so rolled around we got the main dish. These, however, was a bit better than the calamari but there wasn’t anything special about them. The service was amazing though. Servers were very nice and keen, my water never got a chance to go empty cause it got refilled so quickly.

Place inside was just ok, shopping center definitely needs a reface but the food(had the pad see ew) was really good! I’d probably do take out next time instead of dine in.

Very good Thai food with friendly and efficient service. Pad Thai is very good though I’m not a big fan of chicken served here. Mild is very mild if you can’t take any heat. I like medium. If I need some more heat, I can always add some more chili oil or flakes.

Still a miserable experience – spicy basil fried rice is missing everything(and hardly found any basil in it), no garlic– no fresh chilis(i actually asked if they use fresh chilis to spice it up when ordering and they told me yes), no onions, sad strip of red pepper and that’s really it. Every version I have ever tried had more character than this sad version.

Yum! I’m hooked. That is all :) Apparently that is not all bc Unilocal says my short and sweet version is not good enough to be a review. The chicken pad Thai is amazing. Tastes very clean. Big noodles and the chicken is never fatty. Staff is nice.

Very good green curry, Som Tum excellent and great spice.. We both got the dragons tail. Lobster, shrimp and scallops.. The shrimp and scallops were excellent, both lobster tails were over cooked and we’re clearly frozen and not fresh. Over all a good experience. Great customer service and plenty of refills on water.

This is by far my favorite place for pad Thai, I haven’t come across any other place where the pad Thai taste as good. They I can only vouch for the pad Thai because that is all I ever get but this is one of my regular places that I try to get to as much as possible I love the flavor and the service is always pleasant.

I immediately smiled as I entered the small restaurant. It reminded me of a place I visited in Bangkok. It is bright, quaint and very appealing. The staff immediately seated us by a table at the window. I ordered thai tea, spring rolls, drunken noodles with shrimp and my friend order pineapple rice with shrimp. The tea was prepared perfect. Not too much of one ingredient as I have tasted at other locations. The rolls were good but I would have like them more if the filling was not so soggy. It was my first time eating spicy drunken noodles and I enjoyed them. However, there was not enough shrimp in the dish for me. I really enjoyed the sticky rice and mango dessert. Even though I did not give them 5 stars, I will definitely be back to reminiscence down memory lane.

This is my go to place for Thai food. It’s very convenient and the staff are very nice. The food is always fresh and hot, and the prices remain the same. I am a creature of habit, and always order the Pad Thai with Shrimp and chicken(mild). My only wish is that they would put more than 3 shrimp in the dish :/ Unfortunately, I have moved out of the area, but whenever I am in Alexandria I will definitely make it a point to order from them.

Only visited this place a year back. i love tom yum soup so I gave it a try. Compare to other Thai places, the soup is very bland here. Not enough effort putting into it. It tasted like hot water and tamarind sauce, nothing more, no lemons grass. Seem like they make this soup out of the soup base from the super market. I’m afraid to try other items from the menu.

One of my favorite Thai places. My favorite dish is the Seafood Basil(Medium Spicy), I love there Tom Yum Soup and the fried banana dessert. Go for the food not the ambiance/atmosphere. Its small, and authentic but the flavors are excellent. Sometimes the servers can come off a little inattentive but once you get their attention, they are willing to serve. I have noticed on Sunday’s the food is not as flavorful-assuming there is a different chef but every other day has been delish. ** I’ve reduced my view on this used to be beloved restaurant. The management has seemed to changed, and the prices are rising slightly for a reduced quality in flavor and proportion.

I like the restaurant location and their big windows to see the outer street. However I tried their Tom yum soup and an entrée of beef. The soup was somewhat dull but the entrée was very good.

Finally, after two years of eating every Thai restaurant delivery in the area, I’ve found a winner. Delicious spring rolls, chicken skewers(although small portion, so order 2!), and panang curry. Delivery was fast and easy! Haven’t tried pad thai yet but I have high hopes!

I’ve been coming here for the past 4 yrs and the great quality of food hasn’t changed. I always get they’re pad see ew. The noodles just have an amazing taste that becomes addicting. it’s also a great size for sharing for 2. They also have good service and a good environment.

This place really took me by suprise. The food is really good! It looks pretty dumpy but the food is delicious and service was fine. I love the chicken pad thai and the drunken noodles. It is always empty looking and in a weird shopping center but I’ll keep going back!

This is becoming our go-to place for Thai food in the area these days. My Chinese wife loves the word spicy, and she loves her food spicy even more; and so do I. By that, I mean have sweat runny off your forehead spicy, the way she’s used to having her food back in the mother country. And this place will actually give that to you, unlike many other Thai restaurants we’ve been to, where when we uttered the words«I want that very hot» and instead received the usual«he looks white bread American, better give him something bland or he’ll say he doesn’t want to pay.» Now I know that last sentence may leave a bad taste in some mouths, but believe me, it’s not as bad as some of the heat levels, or I should say, cold levels, of food I’ve gotten elsewhere under the label of «Thai» food. At last — Thai Lemongrass, a place that doesn’t live up those other standards. Praise praise praise. I love the pad thai here(yeah, I can hear it already, «another pad thai review»). And I’ll get it again and again when I come. The wifey loves the salads, and when she points to that little icon of the red guy with a blown up red face and says«that spicy,» they give it to her that way. And when I see her putting down her utensils and saying, «oh, that is spicy…» I’m happy; because I’m doing the same thing. It may seem like a small thing, but a place should listen to the customer when they give them the option. And we always get listened to here. We love the flavors overall as well. The sweet & sour here is like nothing I’ve had elsewhere, and nothing like the usual sweet & sour you get with typical American«Asian» food, the kind of Asian food my wife laughs at out loud and denegrates on the drive back home. No. It’s all love love love from us. We tend to come here late in the evening, when things are quiet. We love that too. I guess that’s not good for the house; but we’re happy to be here at such times, and we’ll back for more. Back for more of everything. We’re working on covering the entire menu, and looking forward to it. One week at a happy one week at a time.

In terms if quality and food, I’m giving this place a low rating. The service was decent.
