Stopped by yesterday. Appears they are out of business.

Drove past SakulThai frequently these past two weeks and noticed the shutters are up and an empty parking lot. I tried calling a few times but no one picks up. So its evident, as others stated, it is most likely closed.

Have been coming here since I moved to the Landmark area(a little over three years) and have enjoyed every meal! My favorite dish is the Beef Pad See Ew, but the Yellow Curry Chicken is pretty delicious. The staff is always friendly and deliveries have always been faster than the time quoted.

This place is delicious! My boyfriend and I decided to check this place out for our lunch break from work. We always drove past it on our other work lunch time adventures. This place was very fast, efficient, and friendly! My boyfriend ordered the pad thai lunch special which came with soup & an egg roll. I opted out and ordered the panang curry lunch special. The food came out hot and fresh. The lunch portion alone is a lot for me so what was my lunch ended up becoming my dinner as well. I also had a glass of their Thai Tea and it was very tasty, just like the rest of the food. This has now became our favorite Thai place around this area and we come here all the time for lunch now!

A Thai restaurant that delivers??? Yes! The food is actually pretty good. Thus far I’ve had the papaya salad, pad Thai chicken, drunken noodles chicken, crispy duck rolls, chicken galangal soup, and the mango w sticky rice. The crispy duck rolls were very good. They were a bit greasy however what else would you expect from fried duck? Drunken noodles were pretty good. Very flavorful an the chicken was well seasoned. Pad Thai chicken was just okay. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t really good either. I’ve had better. Papaya salad: portion size was big and the flavor was good however Thai shirlington and Mai Thai have better papaya salad. Mango w sticky rice was good. The person who took my order informed me that the mango would not be sweet because they weren’t ripe yet. I appreciate her telling me that upfront vs me ordering it and finding out on my own. I love sticky rice so the mango didn’t matter to me. Chicken galangal soup: pretty good. Overall my ordering experience has been good and they delivery within the timeframe they tell you. I am pleased. Now if only Thai shirlington or Mai Thai would deliver :)

Great takeout for the basics. Just ordered Pad Thai(I know, BORING). But very tasty, enough to make 2 meals, and $ 10. Also, friendly smile from the server that help me when I picked up my food. It’s so close to home and the gym, that I’m sure I’ll be back often.

Tried it twice, and came away sad both times. I love Thai food, but sadly this didn’t really fill the need. The first time I. Ordered the crispy duck, and it was pretty good. The only problem was that it resembled a Chinese general tso chicken. Tasty, but not Thai. The second time I can’t honestly remember what I had because it was so «meh». However, I do remember that I ordered sticky rice which was slightly dry. A no-no for sticky rice. There are some good Thai restaurants in the area, I would avoid this one.

The Thai food here is UNSAT. I have spent alot of time in Thailand and this is a bad representation of Thai food.

Well, hubby and I wanted to go a restaurant we haven’t been to in a while. So, we ended up at SakulThai. Walking in, you feel a happy and vibrant restaurant — painted bright yellow walls. However, the carpet and furnishing were dated. No tablecloths and linen napkins for dinner. However, the restaurant was busy. Eight out of 12 tables were filled with diners. I believe the owner was hostess, waitress, busperson, server, and cashier. It’s a family run restaurant. We started with the SakulThai sampler. Four veggie rolls, shrimp rolls, and wontons in a spicy sauce. Hubby had the seafood lad na. I had the crispy seafood and basil(medium spicy). Every dish tasted okay. Nothing special. Nothing memorable. The service was very good. She was very attentive.

Do not order the Panang– it is nothing like the traditional panang curry. It tastes like they took the satay sauce and dumped it onto chicken, then in the to go container put that chicken/peanut mixture next to a pile of steamed broccoli. I asked for extra vegetables in my curry and they didn’t even have bok choy… they sent steamed carrots and green beans ONTHESIDE. They only have white rice. Get with the program, every other Thai place I have been to has brown rice. My roommate liked her dish-Spicy Basil w chicken. I didn’t taste it. Delivery was timely.

Not the best Thai food I’ve ever had but good enough. The Crispy Honey Roasted Duck is great. It’s the one dish that I order regularly and is pretty consistent.

I do love this place. Really great Thai food. I ordered egg rolls with duck sauce and the drunken noodles. I asked for a bit of a kick to the soup and it was perfection. Very satisfied. The staff was more than gracious and quick to their feet. I do wish the place was more attractive and gained more customers. This place deserves more credit than it «looks».

I come here often. The staff is gracious. The food is good. Not amazing, but definately solid. Ask for the spices and they’ll bring you a condiment set of 4 types to use. And fast. We tend to come here when we know we want good food, don’t feel like ‘thinking’ and deciding on someplace new. It’s a comfy cozy place to sit, chat, and unwind. It’s tried and true… You will leave full, happy, and the prices are good. And bonus tip– the cocktails are cheap and stroooong.

Despite having eaten SakulThai food dozens of times, I’ve never actually set foot in the establishment. A restaurant with delivery breeds armchair-customers…and laziness. But that’s neither here nor there. SakulThai offers perfectly passable Thai food. It’s not the best Thai food, and it’s not the worst. What’s great about SakulThai is the staff — who are all so incredibly nice and accommodating… on the phone and at my front door. Oh, and that they deliver. Which usually takes 30 – 45 minutes. And — and prices are quite reasonable. Just ask, and SakulThai will give you any substitution or addition you may want. I love tofu, but it’s not listed as an option alongside seafood, chicken, or beef as an option in the curries, noodles, or rices. So we ask for it, and they quite happily add it to whatever dish we like. Husband and/or I enjoy the crispy duck rolls with hoisin; the papaya salad(it is *spiiii-cyyyyy* good, but I wish there were more than *two* chintzy shrimp included); pad see ew, bean thread noodles, or penang with tofu; mussaman beef curry; pineapple fried rice with tofu; and jumbo lump crab fried rice. But we could leave the summer rolls with their overabundance of noodles and thin sauce, and the tofu pad thai with its lack of vegetables or, really, flavor. Overall, dishes could use a bit more sauce/soy/seasoning, but at home we can add Sriracha, soy sauce, hoisin, black bean sauce, etc. After a long or especially taxing day toiling away at work, SakulThai’s delivery feels like a real lifesaver.

According to a source not to be named(think of a secret food agent) this place was much better«back in the day» We went in and sat down and ordered very quickly as the place wasn’t that busy. Our service was good but the food was just OK. I’ve had much better Thai food in the metro area. I will say being as close to the place as I am, it will be tried again just because of proximity. The décor could use some updating but the prices are good for the amount of food you get. Wasn’t blown away so I will be giving just an average review!

I love, love the crispy duck rolls here. I will go here anytime for a drink and an order(or 2) of these. They are just so good! I do not even use the sauce when eating these. Entrees, however, are not as good. A little too salty in addition to the fact that I feel like there is just something missing in the entrees. I’ve had the chicken basil and pork & eggplant stir-fry. I’ve shared the pad Thai and was not impressed. Service is pretty awesome though — probably one the friendliest staff I’ve ever met. Food is prepared amazingly(maybe a little too amazingly) fast. Parking lot requires some skills to navigate. Sakulthai does deliver within a 3 mile radius.

Random stopover with a friend while visiting VA. Wow this food was good-on par with food in Little Thaitown in LA or even Pattaya! The soup(coconut) was really delicious and flavorful and they don’t skimp on the ingredients. We ordered the tofu stir fry and that was great as well, they also give you a lot of food so I was happy to have only ordered one entrée.

Read the reviews wanted to check it out, the lemongrass coconut chicken soup was so freakin good, steaming hot, perfect for a cold day. Casual Restaurant, looked like a family owned business, young daughter sitting at the bar coloring trying to keep busy. Some guy chillen in the«back» of the Restaurant on the computer Dion something. Everybody was dressed like they was at home chilling, getting ready to go to the store or something. But hey the food was good and the service was great. They were very polite, very small Restaurant. Good recommendations from the waitress, I started with the crunchy duck rolls which tasted very good with this sweet brown sauce. I ordered the crunchy seafood, which I must say is very similar to orange chicken, more like orange seafood. Ya know, Candied covered scallops, shrimps and squid, kinda glazy looking. .which I wasn’t expecting especially because I was trusting the judgment of another Unilocaler.(she was wrong!) It was very good neways. My boyfriend ordered Chicken Pad Thai, nice n sweet just like I like it. The Crunchy seafood is more like any appetizer after eating like 6 of them I want a different taste in my mouth. $ 14.95 for the crunchy shrimp, $ 10.95 for the pad Thai $ 6 for the soup and $ 6 for the duck rolls. I’m interested in trying other things on the menu, so I will def. be returning.

I took Unilocaler’s recommendation and ordered the beef drunken noodle and crispy seafood with basil. Beef drunken noodle was well seasoned with soy sauce, basil, and chili. The portion size was generous and they didn’t skimp on the beef either. The meat was however a little on the tough side. Crispy seafood with basil resemble the crispy squid from Thai Square. Again the portion was adequate. It was a bunch of crispy fried squid, bay scallop, and shrimp coated in a spicy caramel. The crunchiness of the seafood is the result of the sugar syrup cooling. It was delicious, but not something I would recommend for one person since the dish was very heavy. I also noticed that they have menu written only in Thai on their website. I appreciate it if anyone can recommend some dishes from the Thai menu.

I got lost — twice! — on my way to see a friend. If it wasn’t for my Columbus-like sense of direction, I never would have driven by SakulThai. This comfortable, sun-lit eatery is painted in bright colors and a decent size, perfect for family-gatherings and office lunches. For dates, this wouldn’t be my first choice to bring anyone, save for cute chowhounds, but your mileage may vary. A friend and I lunched here a few weeks ago. It wasn’t crowded and we were seated right away. During our meal, one of the owners chatted with us, telling us that they’ve been around for a few years. My friend and I went for the lunch special($ 7.95; available from«lunch» until 2:30PM; dine-in only), where we chose an entrée and got a spring roll and a cup of their soup du jour. Our server took our orders without issue, and brought everything out after a minimal wait. We were hungry, and took down their crispy rolls in no time flat. The soup wasn’t half bad, a light tom yum that helped ward off the cold. My friend enjoyed a plate of pad thai, and I couldn’t resist the drunken noodles: tender pork coupled with moist noodles, and the kitchen made my dish respectably spicy — of course, I liberally applied extra peppers[1] to taste. Lunch at SakulThai was a tasty affair, and oh-so-affordable. Stop in if you’re in the area! [1] SakulThai has a limited number of spice caddies, so don’t be surprised if a server asks if you’re done with it(assuming you get one in the first place). This surprised me, as most Thai places have a caddy per table.
