Found a curly black pube in my fires. Had to throw my whole meal away after that… first and last time I’ll ever go there

One cashier on a Saturday at lunch rush… Smh What do u know! Sunday at 2pm and they have one register open! A line of 15 people with one register open! Done with this place This place needs new management. I don’t understand how you can wait for the line to get 20 people long before you bring in a second cashier. During the lunch rush! In and out down the street is kicking your ass! I don’t get it. This place is notorious in having one cashier when they are busy. It’s like they want you to sit in line pissed off and hungry. Fix this management! I’m here right now and the line is out the door while you have 2 people walking around like zombies pretending to clean up shit.

The quality of the fries is poor, they taste like grease sticks. It’s seems like the food gets worse every time I go there. My son likes the burgers but the fries are the worst. No flavor, full of grease, are they from potatoes or some Franken-GMO starch.

The way that they do their pre orders is really weird and so inconvenient. I called so that I can get it cooking ahead of time and that all my mom had to do was go in there pick it up pay for it and leave because she has a bad back but they said that I had to pay for it over the phone. I just find that really weird and inconvenient and janky. What type of shit is that? I’ve never heard of that before.

Burgers are pretty good quality compared to similar type burger chains. Compared to typical fast food burger chains, habit is much better. The service can sometimes be frustratingly slow if they are busy. Overall, I like it enough to come back each week or two.

I gotta say, the burger was pretty good. Not greasy at all and the prices were great. Definitely will be back

Average burgers, average fries, and nothing special. But my main gripe is the darn MUSICISTOOLOUD!!! Even the cashier agreed with me because we couldn’t hear each other.

I love burgers! Nomm. My boyfriend and I left the house in search of food, despite the heavy rain. We decided to stop by In N Out in Alameda, however the lines looked too crazy, so we continued less than half a mile farther to go to our other«go-to» burger joint. We ordered the Original Charburger with fries and soda, and one Original Double Charburger a la carte. I am always thankful for the fact that Habit always has a huge amount of sliced jalapenos waiting for me. :) The meat patties were cooked to perfection, the grilled onions helped to make the burgers taste juicier. All in all, a great visit as usual! Good staff, clean amenities, and the strawberry limeade was pretty awesome!

I was happy to see The Habit open up in Alameda. It’s a fairly new location in a growing shopping center. Parking is abundant. For having been a new store, staff was always on point and service was good. You can’t go wrong with some freshly cooked burgers and chicken sandwiches with sides of fries or onion rings. Can’t forget about some ranch dressing to dip those in!

I hate writing bad reviews, but I honestly was extremely disappointed! My attempt to get the burgers here twice, and the last time was a definite fail. My first attempt, the line was honestly not that long, but I think it was the service that made everything much slower. There was only one person working the register and these burgers are made to order. Great. i love fresh food. However, there should be prepped items. They were low on buns, lettuce, meats, I felt like they had to call the order out so that these burgers can be prepped then cooked. Taking one’s order is another 5 minute process because they let you customized right when you order, I feel that there should be a better system. Like a notecard and you check of items you want in your burger. Waiting for the food is the worst which is another 15 min. In total standing in line, ordering my food, waiting for my food took about 30 minutes. This isn’t a gourmet meal, however I should not be waiting for half an hour for mediocre foods. I got a chicken sandwich without butter on my buns. There were butter on my buns, I didn’t want to complain and have them re-do because who knows when this will be complete. Its a great location, but I would skip the line and head to chipotle!

Love this place! Their salads are bomb and so are their burgers. the tri tip is soooo flavorful and delicious. The workers are pretty nice, well some of them… The food is pretty inexpensive for how delicious it is. I love the location, I can grab dinner and finish my grocery shopping at the same time. The wait time is pretty short, even when they’re extremely busy. I recommend the tempura jalapeño burger with bacon… yummmsssss.

Tempura jalapeño burger, sweet potato fries and a chocolate shake. Of all those, would you believe me if I told you the chocolate shake was the hardest part of the order? Seemed simple enough. Late dinner. 8:45 pm. Restaurant is not completely devoid of people but definitely more than other food options in the area. Note: I went to UC Santa Barbara and I have been to the original location. I’ve been to many Habits including this one but this time will be my last for a while. Why, you ask? Please read on! Burger was quick… Came out with the fries. Remote buzzer buzzed away on the table so I stood up to retrieve my food. As the cashier(who took out order) listed off the three things, she realized that the chocolate shake had not been made yet. No problem. Happy to wait. She went the extra mile and said, «oh, don’t worry, I’ll bring it to your table when it’s ready.» I’m thinking, «great!» I can start on the burger and fries and the shake will be a nice dessert. Burger now half done, fries almost gone… Line dissipates… Now they begin to wipe down the trays and perform general cleaning. No chocolate shake in sight. Last bite of the burger goes in, and the last employee disappears into the back with an empty iced tea dispenser. She sets it back up next to the soft drinks and I bus my tray back to the front. I stood there as the three employees were wrapping up their conversation. The one who took my order kept her back to me the whole time while she tidied up the sink and the ice cream machine. Another girl asks«you need something?» I was thinking that the best question probably should’ve been«is there something that I can assist with?» But I digress. I let them know that I’m still waiting for my chocolate shake and they replied«oh, chocolate shake. Okay». No apologies. No remorse. Been in the establishment for 25 minutes. Aren’t the computer POS machines supposed to help with order tracking? Being done with the meal already, and planning to hit the road, I declined the shake and asked if its possible to get a refund. The receipt was then snatched out of my hand, the cashier who took my order opened the cash register and gave me my $ 3.25 back. Withholding the sales tax. So yes, State of California and County/City of Alameda, if you are reading(you probably aren’t) they charged me tax on an item they did not serve/deliver. No words. Cash back in my hands, I turned and left. As I got to the car, I realized that she kept my receipt because there was probably a survey link on there. Guess I’ll have to suffice my review on Unilocal as opposed to an internal survey. Will not come back to this location until improvements are made on staff demeanor and customer service. I mean seriously, I at least get a smile or «have a good evening» at Panda or Chipotle. Not expecting much, but at least expect the bare minimum of what I paid for. Will happily take my business next door in the interim. Thanks team for the experience.

Location of this restaurant is in Alameda Landing, a new developed land of Alameda. Since its new, it’s still clean. Staff is friendly. Well stocked on condiments. I like that they offer different peppers. For a Friday, it was not packed at all and that was good as the inside is not too big but they do offer outdoor seating. Love their burgers! My only grip is their buns on the burgers is too big for the meat. I guess because I opted for a buttered sourdough bread instead of a regular bun. The meat is a little thin but everything is so tasty. I love their fries and onion rings; not greasy. I love their ranch they offer for my fries and onion rings! I am glad they have malts & shakes; oh so good. This is one of my fave spots to have a quick burger when I am in the area! Yumm!

First time trying habit burger and gotta say I was actually impressed. Ordered the double char burger no cheese with grilled onions, sweet potato fries and tempura green beans. I like that the buns were toasted which gives a good crunch right when you bite into the burger. Very good flavor on the burger, wish I brought my flavor gods seasoning to kick my burger up a notch. The tempura green beans were addicting. They were not overly oily or heavily battered. I hope there will be a habit burger opening in my neck of the woods soon(Pinole/Hercules), I’m a fan.

Coughing without covering your mouth. That’s a bad habit. Biting nails, nose picking, smoking, and even staring at the phone when someone is talking, procrastination, and fidgeting. All bad habits. But after eating at Habit Burger, this is the first Habit I planned to quit. In a world filled with burger joints, in-and-outs, super dupers, Five Guys, etc. I’ll even go as far as saying Jack in the Box, etc can all rest easy because unfortunately Habit Burger is the weakest link. I came with a party of four so we ordered quite a bit of food. About $ 46 worth. Santa Barbara Burger: this was two patties on sourdough bread with avocado and cheese. Single Char burger: a typical burger with cheese that was added on. The problem with the burgers is they lacked any flavor. I don’t know what the deal is but the quality just isn’t there. Tri Tip Sandwich: this sandwich was decent. If I had to eat at Habit Burger again I would pass on the burger and order this sandwich. It has a nice bbq sauce added and it’s filled with a decent amount of tri tip. French Fries and Onions Rings: both of these items were fine. No complaints on either of these sides. Overall the service was good. The employees were friendly and the food came out fast. So there are some nice aspects to Habit Burger but the lack of flavor in the main item, the burger, makes this burger joint a Habit I prefer to quit.

I’m cheating on In and Out for Habit(temporarily) I’ve heard a lot of great things about Habit and I was jumping with joy when I discovered that Alameda Landing was in the process of opening one. After shopping at Target Saturday night I finally decided to drive through the rest of the new development area to see what was open and coming soon. To my shock Habit was opened for business and was conveniently located right next to Panda Express. The line was pretty long but I was ready for dinner. We found a seat almost immediately and I ordered the teriyaki burger with mushroom Swiss with a side of onion rings. The burger was huge, juicy and absolutely delicious! I also got every chili pepper/jalapeño possible to garnish my burger which made every bite even more satisfying. Why can’t every burger joint have a pepper bar?! Loves it! My onion rings were perfectly lightly battered and crunchy so I was one happy camper. I had a great experience and really liked my burger but it can’t compare to In and Out which is opening soon in the same shopping complex. I’m going to be cheating on In and Out for Habit until it opens. Overall, Habit offers a solid burger! Prices were very reasonable, simple menu with good options, clean restaurant, clean bathroom, and lots of parking. I’ll definitely be back for more and excited to see what else is opening soon in Alameda Landing.

I heard this place gets crazy at lunch and dinner so my coworkers and i decided to arrive here at 11:30 am… no line… lots of tables open… Place is clean, staff friendly, helpful, accommodating and menu has a great amount of options. I don’t know if this burger will become a ‘habit’ or a vice but still thought it was good. i’d rate this place comparable to Five Guys, and better than In-N-Out but will stick to Barney’s or Red Robin for that gourmet burger. items ordered was a double burger, a mushroom burger, cheeseburger, onion rings and fries. All coma out hot and appetizing that we were afraid to trip rushing to the table to eat our burgers… no condiments needed for the burgers as they are flavorful on their own and juicy Pepper«bar» — 3 different types of jalapenos — sliced, pickled, whole By the time we left… around 12:20 the placed was getting busy… good thing we came early!

I know I was excited when The Habit opened in San Leandro a few months ago. I haven’t been back since their soft opening. Probably wont be back since this new Habit opened. Its in a much nicer area and has plenty more parking. I’ve been addicted to The Habit since I came across it 2 years ago In Pleasanton. It felt good talking about this burger joint when no one had even heard about it. Now that more locations are popping up. I can’t brag about it since its becoming well known to everyone(sad face). Today was a soft opening. Everyone is till new and in training. Constantly needing help at the register but it’s expected. I didn’t mind because I was first customer in line. I’m sure it’ll get better once all the employees get the hang of it. Food here has yet to disappoint me. Everything is delicious on the menu. Fresh and juicy! The char and double char comes with one the two much mayonnaise. So if your not a mayo fan. Then you might want to ask for light or mayo on the side. As for the sweet potato fries that I ordered. The oil wasn’t clean. Fries weren’t crispy and had a darker color. You an tell by looking at the picture I uploaded. So maybe I was disappointed a little. Everything else was fresh and delicious except the fries.
