I love it!
Diverse artworks and wonderful people, Studio 23 is fun and imbues an open and supportive place to share and learn about local Alameda artists. It’s in a hidey hole location behind the cleaners just off Park and Encinal, but the focus is creating art and gathering people who lives are complete when making fine art.
It’s an eclectic venue but Studio 23 takes it’s own path by bringing a different vibe of art to Alameda. Humble, honest, open minded, sharing, knowledgeable, hardworking and accepting are some of the colors that make Studio 23 such a wonderful place to hang!

Eclectic works and wonderful people, Studio 23 is definitely thinking outside the box. An unconventional location, their focus is creating art and uniting people who simply can’t help but create all the time. Void of the fancy whats-​it and the DJing hipness you see in Oakland, Studio 23 takes a rogue approach, bringing a different vibe of art to Alameda. It’s in a parking lot of dry cleaners — I mean, how fancy can you be? And they like it that way.
Humble and knowledgable, hardworking and rogue, the curators have made this their baby. Everyone I’ve met has been incredibly nice and eager to help one another learn new techniques and encourage artistic development.
It’s just around the corner from the Hob Knob and Lucky 13/Scolari’s, so you can swing by Second Friday and grab a drink afterwards.

Quaint and cute studio nestled behind a dry cleaner and it’s sign glowing through the driveway. At night, it’s shining and presentable glowing as a unique studio on its own. The ambiance at art walks are comforting and able to see the artworks in plain view. It is a studio for various artists in the island of Alameda, and mediums range from prints to oil and structures.
It is a hidden gem in the island full of colors and shine! If you’re in the area, stop by 2^nd Fridays for the Artwalk! #alamedaartists

Great place to go to see contemporary art and to get together with local artists. And the proprietors are always good company.
