Waited over 30 minutes for a sandwich. Never once was I updated on my order. A party had came, ate, and left before I was given my to go order. I just about left even though I had paid for my food already. Food wasn’t worth the wait.

I like this place. It may be a little bit overpriced but there food is pretty good. I usually get either the chicken phở or the bahn mi with grilled chicken and salad. The phở’s broth is extra good and comforting on a cold day. I like the sandwich alot too because it tastes really good and has so much flavor in it. I do add sriracha to every thing I eat though. I also like the salad that comes with the sandwich. It makes me feel like I’m at least eating something healthy. But yeah this place hits the spot.

Sweet potato fries with curry dip and garlic are really good. Phở is pretty good. Ginger lemonade is delicious.

Mediocre phở. The mint leaves that came with our phở looked really old. They were close to being rotten. Portions are okay, I would rather eat at Sidestreet Phở on the other side of the island.

Their cute name is about the only thing they’ve got going for them. I ordered their bun bo hue and it was the first time I couldn’t finish a bowl on my own. Mind you, the portions are not even big. It felt like they threw in some strands of vermicelli noodles in watered down broth. There was no flavor/spice to say the least. Better Vietnamese options pass the tunnel in Oakland.

My boyfriend and I really enjoy coming here for lunch. It’s nestled in a quiet, not-very-busy plaza. It’s very clean inside, and the waitress is always very friendly and attentive. We’ve ordered the beef phở, which comes with an assortment of meat and a lot of noodles. It’s very filling and tasteful. I personally really like the sweet potato fries, which comes with an interesting curry-mayo dipping sauce. It takes some getting used to at first, but the tastes complement each other very well, and the fries are never oily or soggy. We’ve also ordered the Vietnamese sandwich combo, which is tasty too. The baguette is fluffy and not hard, and they’re not sparse with the veggies and meat inside the sandwich. I recently ordered the garlic noodles with chicken, and it was delicious. Definitely a favorite of mine! Overall, this is a nice place to go to for a lunch with a significant other, because it’s pretty quiet inside as well.

I ordered a Bahn Mi and fresh summer rolls through Postmates. After I received my food, I totally forgot about Postmates expensive service fee. Bahn Mi $ 5.25 | Elongated, thinly sliced and sharp pickled vegetables, cilantro, and smokey charred grilled pork wrapped in a crunchy and soft french roll that crackles when you bite into it. I’ve been dreaming about this bahn mi ever since. Completely filling and yet, not heavy. Prawn Spring Roll $ 7.50 | One single shrimp, sliced in half, per roll, but big enough and perfectly distributed throughout the roll that you get a piece of shrimp in every bite. Vermicelli noodles. Fresh and tender red leaf lettuce and herbs. Spicy salty and sweet peanut sauce garnished with crushed roasted peanuts. A fresh salad wrapped in a piece of see through rice paper. By far, the best thing to consume on a warm day/night.

I ordered the Bun Dac Biet and it was great! Service was fast and the waiter was very courteous. The portions are very generous and just the right amount of fish sauce.

The location of this place was kind of dry, there wasn’t many people around. I was in the area and my friend told me this place has the«best» pad thai. I thought that was funny because it was a Vietnamese restaurant. There are many Vietnamese dishes to choose from and some of their appetizers sound pretty good. I ordered the pad thai, it came out less than 10 minutes –The noodles were regular phở noodles –The chicken breast were tender –The shrimps were cooked perfectly –There were very little bean sprouts and I wish they had green onions –THESAUCE. It was amateur, the sauce tasted like hoisin sauce, Sriracha, and water all mixed up and stir fried with the noodles Overall, the presentation of the dish was nice and the service was cool. Maybe it was what I got that made the experience not that great. But they should stick with serving Vietnamese food, after all they are a Vietnamese restaurant. Pad Thai? It should be called pad viet cause it taste like phở without the broth. I would form back, but I will never get the pad Thai ever again.

Maybe take out is a better option but sitting in was so slow and the place was empty. I ordered a mango salad with shrimp sadly it only had two shrimps. The veggie roll was greasy no flavor total waste of money. I’m not coming back.

Best lunch special! Basically under $ 10 you get Banh Mi of ur choice, an imperial roll, and a bowl of broth(you can add wontons for $ 2). Its super filling and their Bahn Mi’s are delicious. Nothing too special but exactly what im looking for when i want a good bahn mi. Ive had their Phở in the past too, and it as well is delicious! I eat a lot of phở at a lot of places and they def have the best tasting broth, they also give you lots of noodles and will add or take away what u want to make it ur own.

Would’ve given this place 4 stars, but not a fan of their service. Our waitress also came off a bit rude and neither one of the employees said bye or thanked us when we left. Aside from the unpleasant attitude the food was actually good, but the canh chua was a bit of the sweet side. Will likely give it another try if I’m in the area again. PS: The menu has too many items to choose from so it may take some time to figure out what to order.

definitely a busy place during weekday lunch. There isn’t enough staff at the front of the house so it took awhile to get greeted. The seating is quite fast tho surprisingly. Ordered phở soup and egg roll. Egg roll is pretty, soup is good. vermicelli bowl is decent. Not too bad but I’ve had better.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for long time… but I usually forget that this place exists, because it’s sort of tucked away in this small shopping mall located next to the Webster St(Posey) Tube on the Alameda side. Since I was going to be in the area… I decided to try it for lunch. I ordered the Special Phở(Phở Dac Biet) with a spring roll(for an extra $ 3). I was pleasantly surprised that the phở tasted good. The spring roll was also good(not being greasy was a plus). Prices are reasonable and I had no issues with the service. I like the menu selection, which makes me want to return and try a different dish next time. Seems like a good place to go to if you want to grab a quick«no frills» reasonably priced meal.

Another great experience here! Stopped in for a light lunch snack and had the spring rolls… Perfectly made and the peanut sauce was excellent!!! Wonderful service that comes with a smile from the waiter Jason… Pity I don’t live closer — it would become a regular place for me!

The first time I came here was for Valentine’s day in 2014. I’ve come here a few times after that. The first time I came here, I was greeted by a young gentleman. He was very attentive to what we needed and was not too imposing. He made the perfect server. I ordered the Banh Hoi platter. That was so delicious! A bit on the pricy side though for a bunch of vegetables and 3 skewers of meat. After that, I felt my experience worsening and worsening. The next few times I came, there were two ladies. They only glanced at us when we came in and we sat ourselves. Then after a bit, the tall girl with the ponytail came over and handed us our menus. They pretty much abandoned us after that till they gave us our check. But the special phở I ordered that day was divine. I ate 70% of the soup before I realized I hadn’t added anything to it. Absolutely delicious. There were a few other times we went to Mint Leaf. Most recently(Monday, March 9), I came with my boyfriend again for lunch. Those two ladies were there again. This time, the woman with the ponytail greeted us and sat us down with the menus. I ordered the special phở again. It was SO salty. I had to ask her for water and a bowl to tone it down –but she never got them. She simply nodded yes –and went back to what she was doing, forgetting within seconds what I asked for. Or maybe she didn’t hear me(why didn’t she ask for clarification?). Either way, I couldn’t eat the phở at all. And they ignored us when we left. I usually tip the 20% but that time, I felt justified in giving them far less for the amount, or lack of, attention they gave. There were only 2 other singles in the restaurant at the time. You would think there would be better service if it wasn’t a crazy busy day. Also, I don’t know if it was because of the phở, but I started having VERY debilitating salmonella poisoning the following early morning of Tuesday and I felt completely better around Sunday. The phở was the only thing I ate that day besides the waffles(which I shared with my bf). I wish that first server was there. It’s because of his excellent service and the banh hoi platter that I’m giving those 4 stars. Other notes: Price wise, this place is pretty expensive. Even Sushi House serves more Thai iced tea for the amount you pay. But it’s not too over the top. Place looks nice from inside. Overall, I liked my experience here. I will attribute my disgusting dish to probably a bad day for the cook because the other times I’ve been there, the food was actually really nice. But for those two ladies… the women in the Xing Yuan Chinese restaurant next door gives way better service. I’ll still come back, but if I get another food poisoning, I’m not coming back here again.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars. It’s better than 3 stars but giving it a full 4 seems kind of generous. My friend told me about Mint Leaf and said she really liked it and I was craving some clear broth noodles so here I arrived. First impression, looks clean and modern. Very small but sufficient amount of tables and it was packed on this late Saturday evening. We were seated right away and I was starving. I went with the seafood noodle and the fiancé got wonton soup. For appetizer we went with the summer roll and a Thai tea for me. The appetizers alone took f o r e v e r … We waited 20 – 30 minutes for it! During our agonizing wait with hangry stomachs, we noticed tons of people coming for pick-up orders. I think that’s why our food took so long because they maybe put priority on the to-go orders first. Summer roll finally came up and they were soooo good. The breaded coconut prawns were to die for. It’s like a fancy spring roll. I loved how it had avocado in it as well. It’s two large rolls cut up in pieces. The presentation of it is nice but it makes it harder to eat sliced up. Tastes good dipped in the sauce and siracha. This alone would have made me give Mint Lead four stars. Our noodles finally came out and they were good. Not great but good. The broth in my seafood soup was good. Much more flavorful than the wonton soups broth. I liked all the shrimp, calamari and veggies in it. It comes with fish balls but I hate fish ball so I asked them to skip on it. I wish I ate my noodles first then ended it with the rolls since they were so much more tastier. I do agree with the majority that it is a little bit expensive for the basic food, especially $ 10 for two rolls. At least they were really good. Next time I think food to-go is the way to do it.

I always felt like if i wanted to eat at a really good authentic phò(vietnamese) restaurant, then i had to go to a sketchy a** place! Not the deal here! Far from sketchy. This place is soo clean, nice simple decorations. For some reason it felt so organic and fresh. Lol.(i dunno but thats how i felt) I ordered the chicken phò, which the chicken was shredded but soo yummy. Will def be coming back here. I was really impressed w the service. The young boy who was working there was very professional. He checked up on us, brought all the sauces to our table w/out us having to ask for anything. Our waters were filled up right away. My friend got the roll which was BIG and tasty. Cant wait to come back!

Tons of free parking in this shopping plaza. It’s easy to miss. I’ve been shopping at the market next door and had never noticed this place. Above all, the service was great! Our waiter was so friendly and attentive to us. He made the experience great. The food is great. We went here for the phở and it was delicious. We had the 27. Spicy spiced beef noodle soup and the 21 special phở. I really liked the flavor of the spicy one. It wasn’t very spicy; it just had a nice little kick to it. The noodles were great. The special phở tasted great too. Lots of meat. We also had the summer roll appetizer(breaded coconut prawns with avocado, carrots, and lettuce). These rolls were just delicious. I will definitely be returning when I get my phở cravings! Oh yes… and bread pudding for dessert. Do it!
