Charming Charlie

Love this place! quiet, with lots of options in respect to jewelry, accessories, bags, and clothing.

Charming Charlie has been a wonder addition to the Alameda South Shore Center. Not only does it bring a certain brightness (literally the lights in the store illuminate out when it’s dark out) to the the shopping center but it also offers a selection of accessories not found at many of the other stores. Before Charming Charlie opened, I would go to Old Navy but now that this store has opened it’s my go to if I need to find something specific to pair with my outfit.
During the winter time, right before Christmas, they tend to have really great sales on their scarves, gloves, and knit hats. If you’ve never been in a Charming Charlie and love accessories like earrings, necklaces, rings, scarves, hats, and gloves, I recommend you check this store out at least once so you know what they have for the future.

Bright, beautifully laid-​out store. Accessories, jewelry, clothes, in design and color coordinated sections. Prices are great – much lower than expected. Lots of fun and lovely items. I always leave there smiling, even if I don’t buy anything. And their staff are great too, adding to the experience. They’re super-​helpful and eager to go on an item-​hunt if you need help; they’re energetic, and cheerful, and don’t treat you any differently, just because you are two or three times their age!

Can I just say this is a neat freak’s heaven on earth?!! Everything is so well organized and so clean. The girls on duty were all really friendly and I loved the options they offered. My husband kind of hates shopping with me when it comes to accessories… Let’s get real, the decisions can be too real and takes forever especially if the galleries aren’t organized. But he actually didn’t mind this trip. And I can’t forget to mention the price! Purses under $ 50 and their sales were hard to beat which I think happens often. Usually on sale items are out of season but theirs were still beautiful and you can work with throughout the year. Bonus points!

As I was randomly strolling around, I came across this store in the plaza. I’ve never been to this location for Charlie. I’ve been to other locations with Charlies so I was super excited.
First off, parking is great, the location is nice, its a huge store, with lots of great products.
Second, the only down thing was that they did not have as many sales. At the other locations it’s usually buy one get second free. This place was evertyhing 50% off. In theory, it is the same, except product here was a bit more pricey. Third, they have clothing here which is great! I like that they provide a sale rack. The only thing is that they only have one fitting room and that takes FOREVER.

I like this accessories shop. There are a couple clothing items, too. Like I said in my previous review, everything is organized by color or season/​holiday. The first time I came, in March, everything was categorized by pastels, you could tell for easter/​spring dresses. This time, everything was catetorized by summer colors, 4^th of July colors, etc. I really think their purses/​bags are super cute, and they have all types of jewelry, from simple and understated to large and statement. You can find whatever you’re looking for here.

I love the idea of this store but the jewelry is soooo cheap it turned my finger green within 2 hrs of wearing it. Overpriced fake jewelry. Not going back.

If you’re looking for fun costume jewelry this place is a must!
An entire store devoted to fun trendy jewelry organized by color. Prices range from $ 12-​$ 20 for a chunky statement necklace.
The girls were friendly and helped me find the right necklace. They have some cute dresses and scarfs too but overall it’s a jewelry store.
They didn’t hassle me when I returned a dress I had bought. It still had the tags on and I had the receipt. From what I understand their return policy is MUCH more accommodating than Forever 21.
Also I brought a dress with me that I was looking to match to a necklace, they didn’t mind at all that I tried it on it the fitting room and let me take the necklaces in the fitting room with me.

Love this spot for accessories! I always check out the clearance section for cheaper bargain jewelry!

Gives me a headache. This is Forever21and H&M jewelry on a larger scale. An adult version of Claire’s if you will. I mean, they sell tiaras…
It’s a tacky store. With a name like Charming Charlie’s, you can’t escape tacky. Teenagers and middle aged moms love this place, because those are the people that were in the store obsessing over everything when I stopped in to check it out. They also sell clothes and bags, which I can’t phantom spending money on.
This place is great for some people though and I get that. But it’s not a place that I’d spend my money in.
I would not come to this place again because it was such an obnoxious environment to be in. People are literally screaming across the floor and rushing around because they are in awe of the gaudy merchandise: «Omg Ashley, this is so CUTEEEEEE! You have to try it on!» and «I want to buy everything!» and «OMG grab that! I have to have it! Hurry!»
I mean, calm down! I didn’t buy anything so you can subtract me out from your list of people who will fight you for the stuff. Geez.

Charming Charlies is a pretty vast acessorie boutique. The boutique is color coded and currently features about 10 shirts and a couple dresses in each section. There is a green, navy, black, cranberry and neutral section. I love it! Along with that they have tons of purses, scarves and jewelry. Clutches for a special occasion? Charlies got it. The girls are all really nice and helpful. I am soooo happy the beautiful little shop made it to Alameda.

Absolutely amazing! Alameda South Shore Center needed this! It was my first time being in a Charming Charlie, and it was their grand opening, October 7^th 2014.
Walking into this newly built store my eyes and mouth water! Located right across from Trabocco, this beautifully set up store is filled with trending women’s clothing. What I really enjoy about shopping here this afternoon was that the different clothing and accessories are color coded making it easier for me to shop as my closet is set up the same way, color coded.
They offer great quality clothing for reasonable prices! They also offer jewelry, scarves and handbags that are also color coded throughout the store. It is clean and beautifully laid out. One not so great thing is: There is only one fitting room. This could be an absolute nightmare once the holidays kick off and more shoppers flock to this store. Personally, I like to try everything on prior to purchasing, and this place may be difficult to do this at.
The women employed here are kind and has so much patience. I hope they keep up the great work and I already know where my paychecks will be going to…
