Dunn Bros Coffee

Abundant plugs, good wifi, fresh roasted and brewed coffee, and reasonably priced, tasty eats make this my go to workplace in Addison when I’m remote. When they fresh roast their beans, you get this wonderful aroma that envelopes the seating area. If you’re a coffee fan, you know this aroma is irreplaceable. Enjoy!
I do wish it was a little warmer and had some elements that made it feel more cozy. Would love if they took over the space next to them and expanded their work areas. This would be one of the BEST places to work…5 stars if they made a few minor improvements and expanded.
P. S. Staff and owner are all gems. Very friendly and glad to see their faces in the mornings.

There are other coffee shops around that is different than the norm Starbucks. I believe this is the only location around Dallas. Luckily for me it isn’t too far from my normal route.
I am not a huge fan of coffee but I do like to sip and stare in coffee shops. My favorite thing about Dunn Bros is the pastries. Their pastries seems to be fresh and made daily. So far I’ve had the blueberry muffin and pistachio muffin. Out of the two the pistachio is better. As for the coffee well I can say I’ve heard my friends compliment on how good it tastes. The most popular raved drink is the nirvana. There are a few seating inside and they do serve sandwiches. On my next visit I will try their cinnamon roll and ginger latte! Hoping they stay in business for a long time.

Cute coffee shop in Addison! Used this place to study as it has free wifi and a decent amount of space.
I got some type of pumpkin drink being the basic girl I am, and also the pistachio muffin. That pistachio muffin was one of the best muffins I’ve had. Huge portion and goes great with the coffee!

My go-​to coffee shop when I’m in Addison. Overall, Dunn Brothers offers well-​rounded drinks, quality service, and a place to chill.
Pros:
— Staff: friendly and pleasant. I believe the older man with the awesome stash is the owner of the store. He is consistently very nice and I enjoy him the most… primarily so that i can continue to admire his perfectly curled ends of his stash.
— quality of coffee drinks are decent. It offers a nice kick and the flavor is well-​rounded. Soy is available for you lactose-​intolerant ones.
— plenty of seating and small tables. Good place to either lounge or fiddle on the laptop.
— outdoor seating and tables
— interior is clean
Cons:
— their free wi-​fi is occasionally unstable. I get kicked off every now and then each time I’m at the shop.

This is an excellent place to sit and get a cup of coffee. I got myself a nice cup of the dark roast and I believe it was Guatemalan. It was nice and smooth. The atmosphere is relaxing and calm and a fantastic place if you need to go get some work done or want to sit and chat with someone (unless you are breaking up with a boyfriend or girlfriend. You don’t want to ruin the place for em). The service is delightful and friendly and they got my coffee to me really fast. Come get some tantalizing coffee from Dunn Bro’s!

I, personally, love this place. It’s hard to find good coffee shops & this place doesn’t disappoint! The atmosphere is really relaxing & the staff has always been friendly. The coffee is absolutely delicious too!

Great place to bring your laptop (plenty of wall plugins) or a book to chill or study.

Consistently good/​flavorful and faster than Starbucks (prices are about the same too) — my go to coffee in Addison.

My friend brought me here for some catching up and I can say that this is a good place in Addison.
The staff is completely friendly and the service is just superb. I like how comfy the place is. For me, the coffee shop really embodies what a coffee shop should really be. It’s one of those coffee shops I really liked along with Starbucks and Oak Lawn.
I gave 4 stars because I will be back for more! :)

Wonderful place to hang out. Pastries are ok but salads are great. Very friendly staff! Really enjoy it. Lots and lots of plug ins!

My go to spot when I’m in the area for a cup of joe or strawberry smoothie. The ambiance is nice and chill with a great aroma of coffee. A perfect spot to study or catch up with some friends. They offer free wi-​fi and also a cool take or leave one book program, which I thought was super neat.
The guys up front are always nice, informative, and super chill. The only reason I give this place 4 stars is the price. I know coffee is expensive these days, but if you’re more expensive than than Starbucks, that’s a bit ridiculous. But don’t worry, it won’t stop me from coming by when I’m in the area.
Love the Dunn Bros would definitely recommend it to my coffee loving friends and to whoever wants to find a new study or chill spot! (Also a great location for a casual date)!

I had heard rumors (and Unilocal reviews for poor customer service) that the owner was very «Anti-​Customer Service» and after today’s run in I can say first hand it is very true. Made my drink wrong and I asked him to remake it. He wanted to modify the existing drink because «it would be a waste to dump it». I said it wasn’t my fault it was made wrong. He told me to have a seat and he’d bring it out. I said I’ll wait. He said, I have a bunch of drinks to make first, I’ll bring it out. I said, wait, you are going to make drinks for people that came in after me first? This is when it got good. He raised his finger and his voice and spoke in an authoritarian tone, «Look! You’re a good customer, but I have these drinks to make first, sit down and I’ll bring it out to you.»
Hahahah! I walked out without my drink and they can keep the $ 3.18 as a goodbye gift. Out of curiosity, I wanted to see how much I was spending there «being a good customer» and I was a little surprised after looking at my online spending from my bank.

Just for balance: The coffee and food are both good, but not great. I’ve practically had the entire menu. I made friends there with regulars and it was a nice spot while it lasted, but I cannot spend money at a place where they treat you so poorly.

Five-​stars only because this is as good as ADDISON could get. This is currently my favorite coffee place in Addison and it’s kinda sad for such a developed town (sad for Addison that is).
I love the interior and the arrangements of the seats. I just feel comfortable enough to get some work done. There are more than enough seating, the coffee is authentic and amazing, and the specialty drinks are superb. This is one place where I’m not afraid to get any drinks besides a simple black coffee because they aren’t dumped with sugar — very well balanced ingredients. They especially roast their beans on-​site everyday with a beastly red machine, and it’s fascinating to learn more about the process. Their pastries are very good too. I love that they always have new and curious items on the menu that I’m willing to try.
They have live performances at night which I like to enjoy at times. Amateur artists are always unique in their own ways and the spontaneity of the performances gives me a break from studying.
Nothing really bad to say about this place, but still feels a little lacking to meet the full five-​star standard. BUT still the best in Addison.

Pretty decent place — Id definitely recommend this over starbucks. Good: There’s a lot of seating, a good food selection and free wifi! Downside: latte served so hot I had to wait 30 min before I could have a sip :/​coffee isn’t the best I’ve had but again, a step up from starbucks.
I could see myself coming here again. Great place to come for food, coffee, and to study.

Love this place! I’ve never been disappointed with the coffee, the food is pretty decent — especially their grilled cheese, and the staff is nice enough :)
The reason for not giving that fifth star: I do feel weird when I’m ordering. I LOVE coffee and love trying new things. They’re menu makes me happy. However, if I’m standing there at the counter debating on what I’d like to try this time, it would be awesome if the cashier could maybe recommend some things, or initiate a short conversation, about the menu — for inspirational purposes. I feel like I’m being stared at and judged even, because I am so indecisive, which is somewhat embarrassing.

I am a coffee addict. I have at least 3 cups of coffee a day and I might as well have a coffee IV placed in me. I was extremely surprised by just how strong the coffee from Dunn Bros Coffee was. Very few caffeinated drinks can give me a real caffeine kick since my tolerance is so high. But holy hell, whatever I drank made me literally jitterbug dance out of the coffee shop.
The atmosphere here is less snootier than Starbucks and the baristas are really nice. There is plenty of seating and outlets for those individuals wanting to plop our their laptops. There is also of course free wifi that doesn’t require a password. Yay!
The barista I interacted with was very nice and was more than happy to make sure that my drink had almond milk in it and that it wasn’t too sweet. She poured more coffee into my iced coconut macaroon to help with the initial sweetness I encountered. I only wish that their coffee had a warning sign stating, «warning, our coffee is very strong even for the most dependent coffee enthusiasts.»
Despite the caffeine jitters I got, the coffee was tasty and with the sweetness diluted, I didn’t feel my glucose escalating. I really like the atmosphere at Dunn Bros and the staff attitude was awesome. I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in the neighborhood. Next time, I’ll be prepared for the caffeine kick. Whew, I’m still feeling really alert even a few hours later.

I really enjoyed my recent visit here. I thought the staff was down to earth and was very patient with me. I can get a little indecisive at times.
I liked that they had 3 computers available for customer use. They just ask that you buy a beverage and that’s fair. I like that. Not many coffee shops have that and for me that sets them apart. I mean sometimes you don’t have a laptop, or you forgot it, or you just wouldn’t mind surfing the web. I thought they would be backed up but they weren’t. The one on the left, though, can be moody I am told so if you can get on the two right computers.
I ended up sitting there on the right because I had my own laptop and I also needed the soft seat. The sofas were all taken and they were also too low and not going to be conducive to me working. It worked out great over there.
I settled in on a breakfast sandwich. I had egg whites, sausage and cheese on a brioche bun which was really soft. I added mayo, fruit jam, and pickles to my sandwich. I must say those pickles were memorable. They were not house made but they were delicious… I smacked on a few.
I also ordered the Chocolate Nirvana although I did read that it was sweet so they offered to make it with half the syrup which it turns out was not sweet enough. But it was straight.
It was funny they close at 9p on Sunday but I though they closed at 10p and I was just pecking away at my keyboard. But they were super cool about it saying that I wasn’t in the way why they closed down. I kindly used the restroom and exited.
On another note, the bathroom was nice. I normally don’t mention this aspect but it is albeit very important. They have soft tissue, not the cheap stuff. And the hand soap was really nice to not your average dry your hands out commercial soap.
So I will definitely return. Thanks Bunns Bros. Provisions…I think that’s what the sign read. Parking is also not an issue. And of course, free WIFI.
