I came on a Sunday night for NFL playoffs so I realize that I will have to come on a «normal» night. I loved the size, the patio, and amount of TV screens so that it wasn’t too crowded. I didn’t get a chance to try out the food but the drinks were pretty decent. I’m knocking off a star because the bartender claimed to not have heard«$ 5 u call it’s» during halftime and attempted to overcharge. Hopefully the next time I go, I can give a true review.

Went 7÷18÷15 with a group of friends for the salsa night. For starters the FB invite said music started at 8:00pm so we get there early to see if we can grab a table for our party of 15. The place did not open doors until 9:00pm. So we have to wait around for an hour and half. No biggie! Cover charge of $ 10 again no biggie. We grab a table and literally had to walk to bar as they have little to no wait staff. I bought my first drink and closed tab. I get charged 2 times for the same drink. I go back to bar and with a different card I pay for 3 additional drinks and close tab. I’ve been calling this establishment since Monday and yet to hear from them. If you go I suggest you take cash only. I have all my receipts so if I do not get a phone call then I’m calling my bank. Ridiculous way to run a business.

I was invited to watch game 6 of the playoffs and I loved it. It was a fun atmosphere. There was a live DJ who played during half time and after the game was over so of course the victors celebrated. What can I say? I like really loud music and excited sports fans! I had just left another restaurant so I didn’t eat but we did order drinks. There was ONE waitress for the entire room which was full because it was game night and they’d advertised a party. Really, get help! If I’d wanted more, I would have been angry. This lady was nice enough but way too slow. I’d love to go back to play cards and eat fried food so I’ll have to figure out when that happens!

I really don’t know how to judge this visit. Really it was ok… but kinda sucked too! This was my 1st time going here and it was for a Mardi Gras celebration. Not sure it if was the promoters or the establishment that didn’t have their«ish» together. They apparently sent out flyers for the event… inviting you to come out and also having the option to reserve a table. We were invited by friends and I must have overlooked the option to reserve a table or didn’t think it was going to be that crucial. The doors opened at 5pm, which I arrived about 4:45 and I’m glad I did, because that way I was able to get us a seat on the booth that was up against the window(side eye). After waiting for at least about 20 – 30 minutes… a waitress finally came over and took our drink order. When the doors opened… there were about 15 – 20 people that arrived. They had 1 waitress &1 bartender(rolls side eye). It took forever to get drinks and food. My friend ordered some fried food and said it tasted like they fried EVERYTHING in that grease… UGH!!! As the evening progressed… the crowd grew! Now they had 2 waitresses &3 bartenders… are you kidding me??? I may give them another chance… but it won’t be anytime soon!!!

I’ve always been here for some type of party: game watching party, fight night or Mardi Gras. They keep a packed house all the time. When that is the case, and it’s pretty much all the time, if you see no parking spots around Azure, you can always park across the street in that mini shopping area. Plenty of spots. Hungry? Want feed to those shots you downed? Try their Fish Bites for sure, their Buffalo Wings and their fries, that come with pretty much everything. All really tasty. A little on the salty side, but still pretty good. Most of the nights I’ve been, DJ Phil from K104 is always on the 1s and 2s and he keeps the party going. Plays all the jams back to back and there’s never a dull moment. If Azure has ever has a party, most likely, I’ll be there. Me AND some!

This is a great place to party and dance! I am from Colombia and this night club offers Aguardiente Antioqueño! I recommend this place to all the Latin American people! Que Sigua la RUMBA! PAPA!

I’ve gone to Azure four times in the past three years. My most recent visit was the worse and my last. I originally went when they opened in 2010 or 2011(can’t remember exactly). At that time they opened as a bar and grill restaurant. During my first visit the restaurant was completely empty of patrons, the food was mediocre and the service was okay. The overall experience was 2 stars at best. Maybe a year or so later I heard that they had started hosting events, parties, concerts so I decided to give it another try. During my second visit the atmosphere was relaxed, mature adult crowd, good music and the drinks were okay. The concerns that I had were limited seating, small venue and small parking lot. All things considered the overall experience had improved to 3 stars. A few months later they hosted an Eric Robertson concert and again I had a good time. So at that point things were looking up and whenever someone mentioned events at Azure I was open to considering them. Fast forward to last night. I had heard about the Saints vs. Cowboys watch party. I passed up tons of restaurants and bars driving from Uptown to Addison to get to Azure. I pulled up to chaos. There was no available parking in the cramped, overcrowded parking lot, so people had resorted to illegally parking at adjacent businesses. Tow trucks sped into the parking lots hoping to tow as many vehicles as possible. I managed to get a parking space in Azure’s parking lot and made my way to the door. All the while my instincts were telling me to get back in my car and leave. As we were walking towards the building I noticed that the crowd was a completely different demographic than in the past and the building was packed to capacity. I should have had enough sense to leave but I’ll admit I didn’t. We shuffled and pushed our way through the building for 10 minutes before giving up and deciding it wasn’t worth it. I was happy to get into my car and leave. The fire marshal should have definitely come by to shut the party DOWN because it would have been a very dangerous situation had an emergency occurred. From my first experience to my last I just can’t think of one reason why I would recommend Azure to anyone that I know. From the very beginning they’ve been plagued with problems and although they showed improvement when they first started hosting events, they have now turned to ratchet and unsafe behavior to stay afloat. I’m not sure why anyone would want to go there.

This place turns into a salsa club at night on the weekends. It’s valet only which is kind of odd in the first place, and they charge you $ 5 for it. They also charge you $ 5 to get in which is odd as well? The DJ played a mix of salsa, merengue, bachata and reggaeton. It’s fun to go with a group of friends and attempt to dance salsa.

This place is HORRIBLE! I will NEVER go to this place ever again! Some friends and I attended this place on 7÷7÷13 for a day party. The promoter that sent the text advertised $ 5 appetizers along with drink specials. The waitress told us this was not valid and she would ‘take care of it’ by honoring the text. Once the bill came, she came out with her manager who did not honor the request and stated that certain appetizers were $ 5. Please note: the manager did not speak with me, but spoke with a friend. Let’s not talk about the nasty drinks… If I could, I would rate this place with 0 stars. I should have listened to my friend who said to not come to this place!

I brought in 20 people for a happy hour meetup event, and I had called ahead of time to let the manager know so that he could accommodate us all. He was very helpful and even gave us at no charge 3 appetizers for us to share. The food was very tasty and many of the guests that I hosted this event for said they would definitely come back if I hosted it again. The staff was very helpful, prompt serving our food and drinks, and most importantly friendly. HIghly recommend checking this place out. They even have dancing inside with a live band on Thurs.

So, i had never been to Azure before, and was invited to an Election Night watch party. I get there pretty early to ensure that I get a table for my friends and I. My friends arrive and and we want to order drinks and food but there are no severs. Eventually a friendly sever comes to our table, takes out orders and we are enjoying the atmosphere. The more crowded it gets the longer it takes to get our orders filled(30 – 40 mins before she appears again). Around 10:45 we are heading out of the club, and I notice immediately that there are cars double/triple parked blocking in several cars, including mine! I approach the guy working the door and ask him what am I supposed to do to get out. He responds with ‘we can make an announcement but if they dont come out, i dont know’. Really! So no one is making any effort to help the blocked in people, so the only thing to do was call the police. Addison police show up 2 minutes later, then miraculously the owner/manager is doing all he can to get the cars out. why did it take calling the police to get any action out of these people. Needless to say, I will never go back to this place. I should have listened to my friend that had a bad experience with management in the past.

This review is strictly for the Latin Saturday Nights hosted at this venue. I will rate this venue based on the following criteria. Dance Floor, Parking, DJ, Ambiance, and Location. 1. The Dance Floor here for salsa dancing is fantastic. I believe the entire venue is hardwood floors. It’s a big open area and expect to see Dallas finest salseros tearing it up here. I’m not too crazy about the sound system but they make it work. The DJ is set up on one side of the room and you don’t get the surround sound quality and the acoustics are not that great. 2. Parking is BAD! This place is in Addison and they love towing cars in this area. Parking is small in this venue so you have to look for alternatives. I always park across the street by some tobacco shop. I’ve seen some people park in the hotel across the street too. 3. The DJ is good. He is one of the big DJ’s in Dallas and knows how to keep the crowd engaged. 4. The ambiance is great. They get large turn outs and for the most part everyone is very friendly and everyone knows each other. 5. Location is superb. On Belt Line Rd. with easy access from Tollway or 635. You can also drive up from Midway or Marsh Lane up to Addison, TX where the restaurant zone is. In overall, this is the favorite spot for the salsa dancer in Dallas for your Saturday nights. One thing is for sure, it gets very packed and injuries on the dance floor here are the worst I’ve ever seen. So ladies, please watch your back when dancing and protect your feet :) On another note, they need more bartenders. They have a small bar and it takes a while to get drinks.

Went to Azure with a friend for Happy Hour. When I arrived, there were NO cars in the parking lot except for the people working. In fact, we were the only non-employees in the entire place for at least an hour and a half. The server couldn’t definitively tell us the drinks specials. He said they were«Like, $ 2 or $ 3, but not more than $ 4 I think.» Really? The chips and salsa were some of the worst I’ve had. The chips tasted like cardboard. We didn’t order entrees after that. The server was nice overall, but he tended to hover quite a bit. I’m not sure why. The restaurant itself was decorated and designed very nicely, but other than that, I was not impressed.

GLBT People & Allies: I will never patronize Azure Restaurant & Bar(on Beltline in Addison). On October 23rd a man attempted to strike(as in hit) a woman because his sexual advances were turned down with no management willing to address the problem. Management has refused to APOLOGIZE to the paying patrons that spent their hard earned money in their establishment. We should all spend our money somewhere else while they take their openly prejudice views back to 1950. This could have been you, your sister, your friend… your significant other.

This is a great spot, My wife and I went there last night after I bought a coupon on Amazon Local Deals. I had the Street Tacos and my wife ordered the Salad & Gyro Combo. My Tacos were very good, I got a plate loaded with Beans rice and 3 very fat grilled Beef Tacos in Corn Tortillas. The beans were very tasty as was the rice. I really liked the Tacos My wife reported that the salad was a Greek Salad and very fresh, along with the Gyro, it turned out to be a great combination. I had the Iced Tea and I was able to taste the tea as compared to other places where the teas are usually very weak. This place has great potential but it needs to make up it’s mind whether it is going to be a Sport Bar or a Restaurant. Lots of room and spacious parking.

So in spite of having very few and mixed reviews we decided to give this place a shot for dinner this sunday. As we walked in the place was empty! like not even a single soul in there but hey who eats dinner at 6pm on a Sunday evening, so we decided to still give it a try. We were a party of 8 and were greeted warmly and seated promptly in their big patio. The weather was perfect for a big family dinner. We ordered chicken fajitas, veggie fajitas, tilapia, street tacos, steak and shrimp. Yes, almost everything off the menu :) we also ordered wine. The food was very fresh and flavorful everyone enjoyed what they ordered and the service was great. We were asked several times how we were doing and everything was served on time and the kids on the table were given special attention. We ended up ordering 4 sundae brownie too which btw was very yummy! All in all a great experience and I must say we were all happy and didn’t walk away seeing an empty restaurant. In fact around 7 pm the patio got full and we saw a lot of people come in for dinner. I would recommend this new place to anyone and give the new owners a little boost :)

Okay, two months later and my second visit. Desiring some patio time in this beautiful Fall weather, and recalling their large outdoor space along the front with ceiling fans, wanted to enjoy a brew and read a good book. I showed up about 1700. Only patron there. Very disappointing to see, really want this spot to take off. Greeted by the same friendly and affable Vincent. Cold brew with lime delivered promptly and ordered early dinner. Menu has not changed since the first visit, at which time I was told it was in transition. Not yet, and IMHO I think a redo would draw more folks. I had Pizza on my first visit so thought I’d try something different; the Street Tacos with Shrimp. The tacos were okay; would have liked a little more Shrimp,(probably only two medium Shrimp chopped to bite size in each taco) and less onions. Love onions, but they overpowered the nicely sauteed and seasoned Shrimp. The Cilantro however added a nice burst of flavor. The flour tortilla tasted«made-in-house», soft and just the right thickness; no gummy-ness at all, perfectly grilled. Served alongside, refried beans, which were creamy with a nice smokey flavor, rice which was just rice, a dollop of guacamole, sour cream and pico with salsa. Meal was pretty good, but there was no WOW factor present. Good, not great. Service was the same as first visit — 5 star. Vincent was accommodating, friendly, and there when needed. However, note that I was the only patron there. Observed that the Owner was meeting with someone about what sounded like a marketing plan to attract more business. Definitely needed, IMHO. Driven by many times to only see 3 – 4 cars in the parking area. This spot has soooo much potential, am hoping they stay around. I’ll definitely give Azure another opportunity. Sit @ the lovely bar for HH and ½ price apps next visit, or grab my book and head out to that nice covered patio. Patronize this place and definitely give your feedback.

The restaurant itself isn’t bad, has potential. But the food is definitely sub-par and drink/wine menu was extremely limited. We had the guacamole, nachos, calamari among other things. None homemade… All seemed as pre-made as they could possibly be. Also the wine glasses where very small…

Service and atmosphere are great, probably five stars, but food is very mediocre. Not a lot to choose from on the menu, so I went with the«½ Pound Azure Hearty Beef Cheeseburger» and fries since it seemed like a signature item. Fries were not good at all, soaked in oil and no seasoning whatsoever.(Didn’t have much crunch either.) Burger was alright, but too greasy and tasted like any burger you get at a neighbor’s backyard BBQ. I got mine with jack cheese and chipotle mayo, but couldn’t taste the latter at all. Oh, and side note, I smell like burgers and fries now. Server dude, on the other hand, was very cordial and attentive. He even asked if the temperature was fine and turned the A/C down when I said it was slightly warm. Plenty of TVs in the place and Happy Hour prices look good. Seems like a cool place to hang out or watch a game. Their other food might be good as well(table next to me had some awesome-smelling Mexican food or something), but for now three stars is more than generous.
