Not sure if I was starving from an 8 hour trip with lost baggage or if this was the best club sandwhich ever. I bought the Tandoori club sandwhich(called uptown sandwhich or something like that) and a black coffee. The sandwhich melted in my mouth and the coffee was a wonderfully bitter espresso with a couple of complimentary mini-pastries. Service was good, spoke english for the most part. — — — - Second visit, ordered the same sandwhich and a pint of beer. This time they charged me for the tap water(3.64eur), the bread was undertoasted, the butter for the roll was still frozen, and the beer was meh. Sandwhich was still tasty though.

I am on travel from the United States staying at the Melia Castilla. Due to a hectic schedule and strict diet I dined here, the hotel restaurant for convenience. The service is excellent and the food good, however the selection is extremely limited. It is quite noisey since it is a bar and restaurant with the bar being very busy and the restaurant being lightly frequented. I would recommend Uptown in a pinch but would suggest trying some of many restaurants nearby which I intend to do tomorrow. Stay tuned!
