Quality arroz. Very strong shrimp flavor in their version of the paella. Definitely go if you’re a big seafood eater. The atmosphere is formal so try to make a reservation in advance.

We came here for lunch(two couples) and had a wonderful dining experience. This is a white tablecloth restaurant in a bright and inviting space. Menus are in Spanish only but there are staff to help if needed. My friends had the signature chicken dish which features chicken cooked for 12 hours at 60C — it is so tender you don’t need a knife to cut it — absolutely first rate. There are a number of paella dishes available — we had the chicken/mushroom paella and it was perfectly cooked and served in paella pan — the mushrooms were creamy and the rice was perfect — this is definitely not pre-cooked. I give this five stars considering the whole package — the food, setting and service is first class. This is worth going out of your way.

This seems to be the place the locals are going. They do not have an English printed menu but one of the owners(I’m assuming since she wasn’t dressed as the wait staff) was exceptionally nice and came table side to assist. I knew I wanted paella so she described the different types — I chose prawn and I believe monk fish, texture seemed like monk fish. She advised it would take 18 minutes and asked if I would like a starter so I chose their spicy gazspachio. First they brought a complimentary chef starter — finely chopped beat, some mustard and I would assume a type of mayonnaise to hold its shape from a scooper. Texture and flavor was very good. Gazspachio was a lite tomato base mixed with possibly celery and cucumber, very silky and smooth with just the right amount of heat and flavor. In the middle was a small mound of a tuna salad, complimented the gazspachio very well and drizzled with some olive oil on top. The paella was insanely good, nothing like you get in the states. It came with two whole prawns and two smallish(I’m American) pieces of fish but it turned out to be the perfect amount of food. The rice was soft and extremely flavorful, texture was like a good risotto, very moist but not as ‘wet’ as a risotto can sometimes be. The prawns were whole and if you’re new to prawns might be a challenge to eat. I wasn’t afraid to just eat the head and tail including shell, excellent flavor. I walked up from the Hotel AC Aitana, took about 15 minutes and you can do it mostly shaded by trees and buildings. Overall highly recommend and I hope this will give some tourists an English write up to read and inspire them to jump out of their English menu comfort zone and try an great local place.

Muy recomendable este restaurante. Había oído hablar de el pero no lo había visitado. Así que hoy Domingo de otoño lluvioso nos hemos animado. Hemos tomado varias cositas para compartir, una butifarra, unos mejillones al cilantro, unas alcachofas fritas y una pularda que por lo visto cocinan durante 12 horas que me ha parecido la bomba!!! De segundo hemos tomado un arroz caldoso con carabineros y un arroz de pichón con puerros alucinante. Por cierto la terraza está genial a pesar del frío y la lluvia. Y un bravo final a esa rica cerveza jamonera de La Virgen.

Domingo mediodia con restaurante lleno. Servicio acogedor y muy agradable aunque algo lento. Buena calidad en la oferta y elaboracion cuidada. La ensalada de centolla era original y sabrosa. El arroz de pichon que es especial de la casa tambien resulto exquisito. Por desgracia no tomamos postre por falta de tiempo. Volveremos.

Comida en LABOMBABISTROT. Animados por la buenas críticas que cosecha este restaurante desde su apertura, nos acercamos a probar. Han abierto hace mes y medio y se nota, está todo nuevo, limpio e impoluto. Enclavado en la calle Pedro Muguruza, cerca de Plaza Castilla, en una zona residencial muy tranquila. Decoración moderna y conseguida, ambiente acogedor. Grandes ventanales y terraza que debe ser muy agradable por las noches. 2 personas. Como aperitivo de la casa nos pusieron una vichessoise bastante buena. Nos decidimos por los clásicos de la casa. De entrada«Trilogía»(croquetas, ensaladilla y butifarra), la ensaladilla y las croquetas buenas, pero destaca sin duda la butifarra, absolutamente deliciosa. De segundo, un arroz a banda, servido en su paella al centro de la mesa, con un ali-oli casero cremoso y suavísimo. El arroz en su punto, con un fondo de pescado extraordinario, irreprochable, de los mejores que hemos comido. De postre Pavlova a compartir. Se trata de un postre hecho a base de merengue, con moras, arándanos, fresas y fruta de la pasión. A pesar de lo que pudiera parecer, nada empalagoso, con una textura suave que nos dejó un delicioso sabor de boca para terminar el festín. Chupitos digestivos de licor de cerezas del Jerte invitación de la casa. Carta de vinos muy completa. Pedimos un blanco de Godello de Valdeorras Casal Novo 2012, que maridó perfectamente con la comanda. Buena disposición de las mesas, mantel de hilo y servilletas de tela. Servicio profesional y atento. Menaje de calidad. La cuenta ascendió a 81,60 euros, que nos pareció un precio muy razonable para la calidad del condumio y la atención recibida. Sin duda volveremos y lo recomendaremos.
