Stumbled on this neighborhood gem on their opening night when they were pouring free beers. Then I had to return last night to get my weekend fix of craft beer. Shooter is run by a delightful Venezuelan family, and the emphasis is definitely on creating a friendly space to enjoy a pint or two and chat with the other patrons. It’s a little cozier and a little less stiff than some of its cousins in the area. There are four beers on draught as well as a nice selection of bottles. Brooklyn Brewing has a prominent spot, and a pint of it will strangely cost you less here than in New York. In fact, prices are extremely reasonable for craft beer in Madrid – 3,50−4,00 euros will get you a pint, with half pints slightly cheaper. Next time you’re in the neighborhood, take a pass on the established craft beer joints, and give this place a whirl!
