This place is unbelievable. My experience at this restaurant was a complete disaster. The curry was just spicy and had no flavor. Cold rice. They didn’t want to honor the check in offer. The goddamn faucet in the bathroom is set on such high pressure that I got drenched with water. I was overcharged… The list goes on.
Do yourself a fucking favor and AVOID this place.

Aquí se toman lo del picante en serio. Si buscas un thailandés de los de verdad, tienes que venir a probarlo.
A mediodía tienen un menú por 15 € bastante completo. Dos platos bastante contundentes, postre y bebida.
Además el personal es muuuy amable. Si no conoces bien la comida thailandesa, intentarán ayudarte.
El curry rojo está buenísimo y el pad thai es un motivo más que suficiente para querer repetir.

El curry verde es un poema! Finalmente un restaurante Tai se toma lo de picante en serio. A mi me encanta lo picante y tengo mucha experiencia intentando de explicar a los camareros que sí, que lo quiero picante, de verdad, si, que picante de verdad. enfin, note tenido que explicar nada, picante decíà la carta y mi amiga que lo quería probar casi se muere ;) mientras, yo en los cielos.
Los entrantes y el postre también muy bien. Salimos súper contentos y seguro que volveremos para recordar Tailandia.

I am no authority on Thai food at all but one day my wife and I strolled upon this place while looking for something non-​touristy and non-​tapas oriented. We decided to give it a try and we were glad we did. So glad that during our month long visit to Barcelona we ate here three or four times. The service was fast and friendly, the food was always delicious and fresh, and the prices were reasonable for the high quality ingredients that they use in their kitchen. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we hope that you enjoy it as much as we did.

I’m in Barcelona, land of tapas and paella. I needed a break so I found this place. Low expectations given where I am and the variety of Thai restaurants back in Southern California. The food turned out to be very good and fairly authentic. A nice surprise.

My husband is Thai so we know real Thai food. The people that work here don’t speak Thai so that was our first hint that it may not be that authentic.
The food here is decent. Not excellent but not bad. They use a lot of bell peppers just like Thai restaurants in San Francisco.
Service was good. Good location and close to the Gaudi building.

My friend and I went out of our way to find the best Thai place in Barcelona. This was the third place we tried, and the only one we went back to (and by far, the best AND the most reasonable). The red curry is their best curry, and is absolutely perfect. Green was also great. The fried rice was very mediocre, and was a let-​down, but we didn’t make that mistake twice. We saw a couple having the pad thai, and it did look very good. In fact, most of what we saw at other tables looked amazing. But we’re curry fanatics. The staff is also very pleasant, attentive, and not pushy at all. The area that this place is in is very nice too, and right off of Gracia, near Diagonal. Very nice area to walk around in, day or evening. Kinda like the Fifth Avenue (and 57th St.) area in Manhattan. If you’re in Barcelona, and missing Thai, then this is the place.

I tend to have the opinion that restaurants near tourist sites will generally be of low quality so I was quite impressed with the food in this Thai place. I ate there in the summer for a menu del día (about 13 €. not especially cheap) and my «dining companion» and I were both very happy with the food. I would definitely go back again.
Very good location as well if you’re seeing the Gaudi buildings on Passeig de Gracia.

Première expérience pour la cuisine Thailandaise et c’était tout simplement fabuleux. Le restaurant à un menu découverte dans les 25E par personne (entrée/​plat/​desert) et là vous goutez à plusieurs choses. A faire absolument si vous souhaitez découvrir une nouvelle cuisine.

El THAILANDÉS es un pequeño restaurante situado en la Diagonal de Barcelona junto al Passeig de Gràcia que pasaría desapercibido a no ser por su gran letrero exterior. Es un restaurante con poquitas mesas, acogedor, casi íntimo y en el cual puedes saborear auténtica comida thai. Los curries son muy recomendables pero personalmente recomendaría el Wok Gai Pad Mamaung Himmapan o lo que sería un pollo salteado con anacardos aromatizado con salsa de ostras y un poquito de ajo. Delicioso.
La carta de vinos es bastante limitada pero es un tipo de comida donde la cerveza es una buena opción, tailandesa o nacional.
En EL THAILANDES los platos se elaborans con ingredientes de primera calidad. No solo los colores y los olores de sus ingredientes son importantes sino también el sabor y la textura de cada uno de ellos.
El personal del restaurante es atento y servicial y los precios son muy razonables.

Cuando estaba en Edimburgo, me encantaba cenar en el Thailandés que estaba al lado del Usher Hall, aquel hermoso teatro, que cuando teníà la oportunidad veía sus óperas. Aquí en Barcelona, un amigo me recomendó este restaurante de la avenida Diagonal. Es bastante pequeño, pero cómodo. Sus mesas están bien dispuestas, y dejan aire, salvo cuando hay mucha gente, que es lo que sucede en los menús que ofrece al mediodía por 15 €. Viene bastante gente, que supongo trabaja por la zona. La comida es casera, pero exótica, y eso lo hace especial, el Pad Thai, es buenísimo, también puedes pedir el menú de degustación con arroces, noodles, picante, tempora y curry. Muy bueno.
