a tiny reminder, in the form of a tip, was posted not too long ago, that i have not written a review for this nondescript outlet. thank you!:) this place is always crowded but their staff seems to be able to cope with the captive volume of patrons, nonetheless. ever prompt in clearing the tables and always courteous whether taking your order or when thanking you as you leave. food on the average is of the a-ok variety but their soft boiled eggs are done as it should be, just cooked enough to still remain softly curdled whites yet with runny rich yolks. two small warm dishes are provided instead of what many competitors will provide, one. you see, one is for you to crack your eggs into and the other is for you to dump them shells, instead of messing up the table. their teh c, kosong(sugarless) for me, is always the right consistency in terms of colour, taste and temperature. and to recently discover orange chiffon cake here, wow, a fluffy citrus consummation with teh c kosong, indeed. and if you happen to take the mrt to novena station, like i do everyday, you will be sheltered, rain or shine, as you walk over for a pit stop here before going home. if it rains, then it might well be a longer pit stop penalty than in F1 races. there, done and dusted!:)

Always been a big fan of Toast Box, particularly this location in Novena. The curry chicken rice set is good enough… However, my favorite is the noodles topped with fried chicken. Unfortunately, this dish seems to have been replaced with noodles topped with hot dog /sausage??? WTH. The sausage is good, but it’s no fried chicken! Getting your morning teh c or kopi c before you head to Novena MRT can be a bit of a pain(I.e long lines) but in my view is well worth it, especially if you live on the other end of Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The other teh c /kaya butter bread places just don’t cut it my view, particularly the ones in Marina Square. Heaven forbid you find yourself in Tan Tock Seng Hospital or like me have to walk through TTSH to get to the MRT, this is the place to eat or to get your cup of joe.
