The Milky Way

Nice setting and service. Probably the biggest portion I have ever received just for sampling a flavour. My friend had the eye-​catching blue-​coloured smurf flavour and I had the nutty pistachio flavour. Half a waffle on its own costs $ 5 and a full waffle costs $ 8.80. When we ordered 2 half waffles, the waitress offered to let us split the full waffle in two plates instead. Good job in helping customers save money! The waffle was crunchy but not spectacular. Everything else though adds points and I recommend dropping by this charming place.

Came here on a Saturday night around 9pm. Was pretty crowded and it took awhile before tables for 7 was set up at one of the corners of the store. Most of the seating arrangements are indoors but there are a few tables and chairs on the outside of the storefront.
Tried sampling a few flavors of the handmade ice creams — Straciatella, strawberry cheesecake, smurf and matcha. Decided to get a scoop of matcha as it was pretty addictive after it melted in the mouth. This is one of the best matcha ice creams I’ve tasted so far. Tasted more like the authentic matcha beverages. It is light in taste but had lingering impact just after a small bite. Some of my friends tried the salted caramel and rum and raisin.
The space was pretty compact. Not so suitable for more than 10 people as you might need to wait for awhile before they connect the tables together. The staffs are pretty friendly and they don’t mind letting us try the different flavors they had on that day.
Wanted to try the waffles too — in fact you can tell them how you want it made (crispy or softer). The homemade ice creams were definitely delicious. Will be back for more waffles and gelato soon :)

Love the ice cream on waffle. Nice round off with coffee after dinner. Friendly atmosphere — a rarity in labor-​short Singapore. Location not too easy to find though
