Having played laser tag at one the largest indoor laser tag arenas in Arizona for pretty much the whole day. It’s been years since I last played and I found a groupon offer for tag team which helped me learn about this sport in Singapore. Managed to ring up 5 of my best friends, 3 girls and 3 guys and we headed there. There was free parking at Parkland Green on a sunday. We got there at 6pm and Tag Team was pretty much empty, no one had booked it and we just walked in. At the office, it’s air conditioned and you make payment there $ 15/pax for weekends. Each round lasts 15 minutes but rest assured after the 15 minutes, you will be panting and exhausted from chasing your friends and running back to your base to reload your bullets. After you have set up which teams you are in, the instructor will explain how to use the gun, how to reload, how to set the gun(automatic or semi automatic) and how to revive yourself once you are dead. The most annoying thing by far is having to reload the gun, and sometimes I press the wrong button, as the reload/switch gun mode button are right next to each other. Hence, sometimes when I expected an automatic gun, it was semi automatic(shoots slower, but saves bullets). The area may not look very big, but for 3×3, there was enough space to run and hide and also go all kamikaze by running to the enemy’s base. Do note that you ALWAYS have to run back to your own base to reload once you’re completely out of bullets or revive yourself. It takes while to revive yourself too, you can’t just run to the base, push the button and run off. Many times, I pushed the button and ran off, only to realized I hadn’t been revived yet. It takes 5 seconds to revive. All in all, a great fun place to hang out, the instructions were given out clearly and the staff were friendly and patient with my friends, as it was their first time playing laser tag.
