Quiznos Sub

I shouldn’t have done it.
Quiznos is bad news back home in sunny California and it hasn’t improved being on this island.
The bread was awful, I thought I had bitten a sawdust stick (if such a thing exists) and the chicken was hopefully chicken.

I am so disappointed with the food at Quiznos now. Maybe traffic has been dropping steadily but it definitely is no longer of the same standard as the last few years. I loved the subs here when it first opened.
Somehow I stopped eating here as I find it is a bit pricey and the cold cuts subs do not keep you full for long.
I decided to try it today as it was fairly empty (only 2 tables were taken at 12pm, so that should give an indication of the food quality).
I chose the zesty grilled on rosemary parmesan bread which was my all time favorite. I added the soup and drink.
I ordered the chicken noodle soup initially. Then I saw the staff took out a packet of pasta and dumped it into the chicken soup and then ladled it out immediately. I changed my mind and asked for the broccoli cheese soup instead. There was nary a sign of green in it. I felt cheated as I wanted my broccoli. So the soup failed.
The soda fountain. It is self served. There was no ice in the dispenser. I told the staff. Her response was classic. «Yes, there is no ice.» and her tone brooked no argument or encouraged one to inquire further. I noticed subsequent customers telling her the same thing and she came back with the same reply. So my conclusion was they no longer served ice for their drinks. Just as I was leaving, I saw another staff pour ice into the dispenser. So I was wrong, but the staff could have said the ice would be coming later or something.
The zesty grilled. The meat was quite miserable. The visual looked sad. Only the rosemary parmesan bread was toasted nicely, albeit a bit burned at the corners.
Oh, and the pickles and hot sauces section has disappeared. In fact anything which said Quiznos is gone, replaced with generic white napkins, waxed paper and cup.
So I paid $ 13 for a very mediocre meal which was a total waste of calories. I will not be back anytime soon. Give me Subway anytime. At least you know their subs are consistently average across all outlets though they have kick-​ass soft cookies.

This people make a mean sandwich. They don’t look like much, nothing too over the top but somehow all the different components of the sandwich come together to create something amazing. I love their bread! Fresh and slightly crisp on the outside while soft and fragrant with each bite, they are absolutely satisfying. I’m a fan of their brown bread, never knew something this healthy could taste this good!
They have quite a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from but their Zesty Steak is a must-​try if you like beef! Very flavourful and tasty, the beef’s flavour is ever present in the sandwich. Together with honey mustard and cheese, each taste is absolutely divine!
Quiznos Sub is often accompanied by Tully’s coffee which does a decent cuppa!

Im a fan of Quiznos. Similar to Subway, this place sells submarine sandwiches and they have lots of different options for everyone. Its a bit more pricey than Subway, but I think that the quality is way better.
Chose from different breads and sauces (sauces are also way better than Subway). All sandwiches are toasted down a conveyer belt, and they add the veggies at the end to avoid it from getting soggy. I like their cheese here and they seem to have fresher veggies here.
They also put a lot of toppings on their sandwiches and there is even a condiments bar that you can help yourself to, with sauces and peppers.
Also good are their salads. Their Ceasar dressing is way better than Subway and the salads are served with toasted bread. Subway wins on the cookies though. Im not such a fan of Quiznos cookies.

Quiznos sub is seriously way better than Subway. Not that Subway is bad. But just that Quiznos Sub is really awesome.
Zesty Grilled Streak together with their freshly baked Parmesan bread is the best combination. One bite of it, you can really taste how soft the bread is. Together with their honey mustard and streak, it really tasted heavenly. YUMMY YUMMY YUM! If you want to have more of the honey mustard and some other sauces, you can get it at a self service station.
Plus, their portion is relatively bigger. Add in their Chocolate cookie. They will make it hot for you. Longer waiting time for a fast food but greater quality of food!
