I recently purchased a viola from Old Violin House, and I was very impressed with their customer service. They contacted me to check on shipping options and also alerted me when a slight Customs delay occurred. The viola is a fantastically good for the price, both in sound (very resonant, and it’s a 15″ instrument) and appearance. I really like the varnish — it’s not overly glossy, and allows the wood grain to speak for itself. The fittings are quite nice, and the pegs adjust quite well. The (included) Cobra bow is good quality and nicely balanced. The case is much finer than anything I’ve seen in its price range here. Buy with confidence!
