As of Monday 9pm, 2 person working. Took in many orders and ask for payment first. Was not informed that the wait is 40minutes. Still have not received my order. Bad bad bad experience.

The Boon Lay Food Centre is somewhat near to my home at Lakeside and I usually have dinner here once a week. Chong Pang Heng is a relatively new stall selling barbecued chicken wings and spring chicken, as well as pork, chicken and mutton satay. I thought $ 1.20 for a chicken wing was a bit expensive. To begin with, the wings were rather small. You get bigger-sized wings for the same price at this food centre when you order from the various stalls selling nasi lemak or economical noodles/bee hoon. I’ve also had similarly priced chicken wings in town where rent is much higher. Also, it’s not a secret that you need to add another layer of marinade just before the wings are ready to serve. Unfortunately, I did not see them doing that and their wings were not particularly tasty. In fact, some parts were charred and overcooked, so if you love your wings tender and juicy, you might be sorely disappointed.

Despite the plethora of local food selection at Boon Lay Place Food Centre, I always griped that there isnt a bbq chicken wing stall. Fortunately, the newest stall to open recently, Chong Pang Heng sells just that. Although not the best I ever had(you have to go to KL’s Jalan Alor for that), it is still as good as it gets here in Singapore. And for good measure, they also sells a very decent pork satay though the satay sauce isnt very good. Service is also not bad considering how busy they can get. And sometimes you have to wait quite a bit before your order is ready. Nonetheless, its another worthy addition to the food haven that is Boon Lay Place.
