I guess it was only a matter of time until I find my way around and I’m definitely getting used tot his grocery store. This place is cheaper than the competitors and if you go in the morning like other places everything is fresh. The check out ladies are helpful and once you shop a few times they treat you as local. I like their specials and it’s all about checking the tags. Today the Emmi Yogurt was on sale for 3 for $ 4.50! Cheap! It’s definitely worth coming here especially if you love roaming around the groceries like me.

a wake up call came today from amanda l. to review this place! thanks girl! sometimes i rather just hide my head in the quicksand of unreviewed receipts that keeps piling on and drowning me. but as she so rightfully commented, a spark of inspiration ignited like katy perry’s fireworks and this will be the numb3rs game! a 350m sprint in any direction from my humble abode will only be most fruitful this way. the 4 stories climb for a check-in makes for a better work out than cold storage at level 1 in velocity. all day low prices means any 1 item here is, most of the time, always cheaper than the same item at cold storage, which might at times be cheaper if on sale. but the tie breaker has to be the numb3rs that you can buy here which you can’t at cold storage. from 0 – 0,1−0, 1 – 1, 2−1…etc. to 1234, 4321 or any 24 permutations of 4 digits that you may fancy. to any combo of numb3rs from 1 – 45 with an ordinary minimum of 6 from this group. no, this is not the way to make your first $ 1m. no, they are not to blame when cars come to a stand still driving pass 3,5,7 car pile ups on the expressways. no, watching football is not way more exciting when you know your desired outcome is real madrid 3 dortmund 0. but knowing that i can do so here and not at cold storage makes it, NTUC1 cold storage 0!

I’ve been living here for about a month now(woo hoo!) and I’ve grown to like this Fairprice. Although I still find it weird that supermarkets can be located in a mall(I assume it’s because of space constraints on the island*), I like this Fairprice’s location since it’s near the MRT and on the way home. The prices here are reasonable, especially if you get their house brand. And the quality of their house brand is pretty good! There’s always a good sale on something and the employees are nice. Compared to the Fairprice on Balestier, this one seems a little smaller so it’ll probably feel more crowded on the weekends. Also, this location doesn’t sell durian, so come here instead if durian bothers you. :) *See, I learned something from my visit to the Singapore City Gallery!
