Good value good food. I am new to this place while my two friends had been here before. We ordered Dim Sum like many of the people here though they had set lunches throughout the week. Dim sum quality is good generally. The chicken feet, chee chiong fun is good. The siu mai is exceptionally tasty and firm with distinguishing meats and shrimps. The vegetable soup is surprisingly flavourful while the vinegar pork trotter is average. The xiao long bao is not forgetable. Disappointments The fried carrot cake is a let down. The salted egg yolk bun is small and dough thick but fortunately a surprise is the creamy yolk

I had my family lunch at this restaurant again today. This time it was more crowded than before at 1pm. The restaurant has quite a pleasant atmosphere unlike the typical dim sum restaurants where by you have to «shout» to be heard. At Luk Yu, the tables are well space and there is room to move around. The patrons are not the typical yelling on top of their lungs type so your normal vocal volume should be sufficient. The Food is pretty good and my picky eating son ate most of what we ordered. Their menu consist of the usual dim sum that you see else where. The ingredients are fresh and taste good. The price is also reasonable. The servers were prompt when we needed them and they are courteous. The only issue I had was the tea are not brew by tea leaves but are in a tea bag. I guess you can’t win them all. I can see us going back there again. My mom and my son likes the food so that’s good enough for me.
