While the name of the store sound promising and the concept of combining a flower boutique with a café fresh and innovative, we were greatly disappointed with the food quality and pricing of the items sold at the café. The café itself at Somerset 313 was decorated quite nicely with an innovative idea for seating. Instead of having chairs, guests were to sit by the tables on a fully functional swing suspended by ropes from ceiling hooks. We did find this to be quite a fun concept, but after the food started coming… not so sure about that. Some dishes we tried were the chicken cutlet and steak. Both were so-so with the beef being a touch too tough for my liking. What really brought down ratings were the over-priced flavoured ice teas in several different fruit flavours. They tasted like weak tea with un-blended cordial juice stuck to the bottom of the glass! We tried making sure that it was supposed to taste this way, but the unfriendly and curt service from the staff put us off immediately. We definitely paid way too much for food that was not worth it at all, do step in to browse their beautiful selection of flowers, but take a look elsewhere if you’re looking to fill your stomach!
