This is a review of a solo early dinner at Leong Yeow — Albert Street Market and Food Centre #01−49. The attendant was super friendly. He was also very helpful. My order was quickly taken. My food was also quickly served. The stall was relatively clean and neat. Roasted Chicken with Char Siew — I really enjoyed this. The chicken was tender and tasty. The char siew was absolutely delicious. The rice was well prepared. All of the food was hot. It was ever pretty nicely presented. The portion was generous. Cost: $ 4 Overall — I enjoyed my experience at Leong Yeow. The food was tasty and the service was friendly. I even was lucky enough to get a table right next to the stall. This was really more of a 3.5 star experience but I think, in this case, rounding up is the right thing to do. (Albert Centre can be a bit of a gong show. By any standard, this is a large food centre. There are over 100 stalls. It is not particularly well-known for any of them. There are a lot of very affordable options though. The floors are often wet and slippery. During busy times be ready to wrestle with aunties for tables. Plus, in very busy times, the cleaning crew can’t keep up with things and many tables will be cluttered with trays and left-overs. In slower times, it can be quite pleasant.)
