Eng Kee Bak Kut Teh, my favorite bak kut teh stall in Singapore!
This stall is especially good, really hard to describe how this wins most bak kut teh stall in Singapore. One really has to try it oneself in order to understand. Regardless, I will try my best. But one metric is that they close really early. I went there on a Saturday at 2.30pm and the aunty told me that they are done for the day!
The standard bak kut teh and soup set is $ 6.00. While pricey for a lunch meal, the soup and pork ribs are worth the price. I would normally ask for an extra portion of rice as well. The ribs are soft and flavorful unlike other pork ribs where the ribs are boiled till it has no taste. The clear soup is slightly spicy and sweet, just the way I like it. Really great meal for a rainy day.
Parking is at the HDB carpark located near the HDB blocks behind the kopitiam.
