I’ve been here yesterday night. It was super crowded. Decided to give black hokkien mee a try since I had fallen in love with the KL one and my hubby ordered Fried bee hoon. The black hokkien mee turned out a bit disappointed, kinda bitter due to too much black sauce I guess? Anyway it cost $ 5.5 And you know what, the fried bee hoon cost $ 11 which surprised my hubby haha. It was filled with 4 peeled-prawns and a few slices of fish. The taste was normal. Maybe next time I should try others’ advice for the signature dish at this eatery.

Very fast and efficient service. Bright and cheery, this place has a lively vibe. I like coming here for supper when I have to work late.

This is a review of lunch with a colleague at Enak Enak Honk Kong Tea House. We were quickly pointed to a seat. They have a very airy outdoor seating area. It was also very clean. Even though it was pretty much right at noon, the temperature was still quite comfortable. Gotta love the wall-mounted fans. They created a very nice breeze. The staff was quite friendly and professional. They quickly brought us menus and, soon after, took our orders. The menu is quite extensive with both eastern and western options. Actually, it is a very global menu. My colleague selected the XO Fried Rice with beef. I went for the Chicken Baguette Sandwich. I also ordered the jumbo lime juice. That was fantastic. I love lime juice. I love a jumbo one even more. You can super-size my lime juice anytime. Chicken Baguette Sandwich — This was a very good sandwich. For one, it was quite large. The baguette had that nice crispy outer edge like one expects from a French baguette and it also had the expected soft centre. The chicken was tender and flavourful. The veggies were all fresh and crisp. I thought the tomatoes and cucumbers were a good match for the chicken. It came together very well. Cheese Fries — The fries themselves were pretty basic. But the cheese added some nice flavour. I certainly enjoyed them. XO Fried Rice with beef — My colleague had the XO Fried Rice with beef. He seemed to like it. It looked very appetizing. Receipt(18.80) Overall — I would have no problem going back. Good food, generous portions, friendly staff, and comfortable clean surroundings all make a for a nice lunch spot. The kitchen was also very clean. For me, at less than $ 10 per person, I thought it was a good value.

Along the stretch of alfresco halal eateries at Simpang Bedok, you will find Enak Enak HongKong Tea House. Like all the other halal eateries surrounding it, Enak Enak has 2 separate sitting areas — inside and outside. Unlike its neighbors, however, they serve Dim Sum and other local delicacies like Char Kway Teow and Orh Lua(Fried Oyster Omelette). It gets more crowded here at night, during dinner and suppertime. Although they serve your basic Dim Sum dishes like Siew Mai, Har Gao and Xiao Long Bao, this is not a place you want to head to if you are picky about the quality or authencity of your Dim Sum. Their Dim Sum just does not seem to be on par with restaurants that specialize in Dim Sum. What you can order though, are the Paper Thosai and Oyster Omelette. The Oyster Omelette here is fried till crispy, and the oysters seem fresh enough. The Paper Thosai is crispy on the outside, and warm and fluffy on the inside. Accompanied with its curry and chutney sauces, the thosai was savory and enjoyable.

Had supper here at 1am with friends, and was pleasantly surprised to find out that this place opens till 6am everyday! Yet another supper place willing to accommodate the nocturnal; a welcoming, loud place filled with junk food. Was further pleased by the food: we had Piain(pattaya Maggie goreng, $ 4 each), Fresh Milk with Wheatgrass($ 2.80) and Lemongrass Tea($ 1.80)(apparently the two most popular drinks here), Tea HK, and half a Spring Chicken. Our bill amounted to $ 24.50, but it was well worth the amount as we thoroughly enjoyed suppering there. Our maggie gorengs were tasty, albeit spicy due to the pepper, which almost brought about our deaths as we usually do not have much ability stomaching spicy food. The drinks were really good at putting out the fire in our mouths, and I daresay we would go back again despite our poor ability to eat spicy food, as this place is really perfect for the night prowlers who need all the junk in the world to fuel their zombi-fied states.
