One of the closer swimming pools to my house, the pool here is accessible by bus and walking distance to the MRT. There is a kids pool, as well as a larger pool for adults looking to swim laps. There are also many people here who just come here to sun tan. Pretty crowded during school holidays, but otherwise a decent place for an afternoon swim. I had my swimming lessons here in the past and it was always empty. Also, the toilet is newly remodelled so it is slightly better than the past. For $ 1 entrance fee, I really can’t complain much!

Clementi Swimming Pool is a public pool that has a range of basic facilities. At an entrance fee of a dollar each, it is reasonable and serves its purpose well. The pool is clean and well-kept with varying depths to suit the needs of different people. This ranges from a baby pool for children, and a larger pool with one end as shallow as 0.9m to as deep as 8m. Lockers are available at 20cents per use, which is handy if you’re travelling alone and don’t want to risk having your valuables lying around. Be sure to remember the locker number and tie the key securely on your wrist. Of course, washrooms are available with shower facilities. If you’re tired and just want to soak up the afternoon sun, opt for the beach chairs instead of swimming in the pool. Reclinable beach chairs are available at the pool, whereby you can adjust the tilt of the chair and drag them to where you can get the most sunlight. Despite it being a public pool, the chairs are all extremely clean so you can sit and relax with no worries about sitting on dirt. The pool is also easily accessible, being only one bus stop or a five minute walk away from Clementi MRT Station. You can find other sports facilities like a badminton court just outside at the sports complex as well. Food stores are widely available in the area if you’re hungry after a swim. With these facilities and its prime location, the pool is always filled with people, especially on weekends. The pool is also popular among schools in the area to hold swimming lessons for its students. So if you want a quiet afternoon at the pool, be sure to visit it on weekday afternoon.
