Cedele

Loved this place for lunch! Of course. I bailed on them once I discovered the Turkish place across the street, but still. Cedele is an excellent lunch place. I had the quinoa salad and the veggie medley sandwich on pumpkin bread. Absolutely delicious! The next day I came here for desert and got the oatmeal cookie. and then a Jewish cookie the day after. Just perfect! They have great soups, sandwiches, coffee, healthy stuff and a good distance from Asian food if that happens to be your preference (except for raw sushi. I don’t eat Asian food).

I’ve eaten lunch here numerous times. Normally, the service is relatively fast. Every once in awhile, there will be a long wait. If not super friendly, the staff is very attentive.
I enjoy their sandwiches and sweet.
I particularly like the Threesome Sandwich (Turkey, ham & bacon with melted Mozzarella cheese, house-​made Italian dressing on the side, mayo, lettuce & tomato) and the Roast Chicken w Avocado.(Roasted chicken breast, avocado, mayo, lettuce and tomato).
The Smoked Turkey w Brie (Turkey ham, brie cheese, cranberry sauce, mayo, mustard, lettuce and tomato) is also quite nice. The cranberry sauce provides a nice contrast to the gentle flavor of the turkey.
I’ve also had the Spicy Cajun Beef Avocado (Shredded beef simmered slowly in Cajun spices, avocado, mayo, lettuce & tomato. Slightly spicy) a couple of times. But the meat is more similar to mushy meatload than shredded beef. The spices are also overpowering making the flavor a single note instead of a harmony.

Their sweets are good but not great. I’ve tried a number of them but none really stick out as memorable. I guess if I had to pick one. I would pick the blueberry with orange muffin.
The restaurant is very clean and neat. There is limited seating. However, I tend to go here when I need a quick lunch to take back to my desk.
They also pack the food very neatly.
When in need of a quick lunch, I will continue to visit Cedele in Plaza 8.
