One of only 2 Rojak joints worth anyone’s time and effort in Singapore. The other is in Hougang Ave 10. Joints like Brothers Rojak are what make living in Singapore worth the climate, stiff fines, and the nosebleed expensive cost of living. Ok brass tacks: There’s always a line. Lunch line 10 mins or so, dinner line about 20 mins. Service is honest and friendly. These guys are always smiling no matter how demanding the crowd. Consistency. These guys have been serving the very same dish the same way since forever. The secret? They stick with one recipe and one way of completing the dish. No matter the line or the time of day, they just hunker down and do the dish right. Corners are never cut to get customers through faster. That’s my opinion at least after having seen these guys churn out Rojak for me thousands of times. You can get your Rojak to go in a «kit» with sauce on the side. You can get fixin’s. Codfish crisp, cuttlefish, sun dried crispy fish bones, century eggs. They also serve tau kwa pau. My recommended food crawl: Brothers Rojak. Chai Ho satay(have the chicken). 51 Old Airport Road Bean Curd. Washed down with Sour Plum tea from Koi Café. Clementi rules!

I lived in Clementi with my mum’s family the first ten years of my life and Brothers Rojak formed a significant part of my childhood. My whole family loves their rojak so much, we ordered at least one every week! This unassuming stall is tucked away next to the drinks stall and they hold the greatest market share in the whole coffee shop. Two very affable brothers man the stall for 11 hours daily. There always is a long queue but it hasn’t entirely taken its toll on the two uncles. They do look visibly weary these days but they can still deftly chop up the fresh ingredients and whip up a mean salad for you in a jiffy. Despite being tired from operating the stall the entire day, the friendly brothers greet every customer with a smile. If you’re doing take-out, they are even thoughtful enough to ask if you wanna separate the sauce so the dish stays fresh longer.

Located in a small shop space in a corner of the See Lam Hern kopitiam, this unassuming stall serves up a tasty plate of rojak. The fruits used are always fresh and crisp, lending the dish an extra oomph. The quality of the youtiao varies, and I’ve had good days and bad days with this stall but I’m not sure what they put in their paste as it always seems tastier than your average plate of rojak. It is not yet a very established, well-known rojak stall like those in toa payoh or kallang airport where you have to wait for ridiculous amounts of time to get your food but it is pretty known in the area. So if you happen to be around clementi and feel like having a decent plate of rojak, this is quite a good place to head to.

A Rojak legacy of more than 30 years! My parents love have bought rojak from this stall ever since before I was born. The uncle is still running it and running it well. It’s the rojak I was raised on. This rojak sauce is good, the ingredients are all cut into nice little bite sized pieces so you can enjoy more sauce per square centimeter of food and it’s cheap. I think it’s still $ 2. Decent helping too! It’s hard to find such a deal now with constant price hikes. The uncle is always all smiles and I hope this stall stays on for a long time. Business is good pretty much all the time and you might need to queue during dinner time.
