I don’t really enjoy Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. They’re kinda overhyped to me. That said, it’s a perfect place to bring young cousins or kids to to reward them for good behavior. The place is really child friendly, with lots of colours and cartoon drawings. Kids will definitely enjoy the ice cream here thanks to the variety of flavors they have and the ambience. Don’t come here if you don’t like kids, especially screaming ones.

A group of us shared the Belgian Waffle with 3 scoops of ice cream. In less than 5 minutes, everything was gone. Ah, my dear sweet tooth was in seventh heaven. Be warned that too much might leave you feeling slightly sick as Ben and Jerry’s flavours are generally really, really sweet. I much prefer the milder flavours from Haagen Dazs. However, if I were to choose a place to chill, I would definitely pick BnJ as it has a warmer atmosphere. You can choose to sit inside(airconditioned) or outside, where the swings are). They also serve drinks like snapple($ 3 a bottle) and beer here.

Restaurants at Dempsey Hill are consider high end restaurants for me and I seldom come all the way here to have meals. But once in a while, friends will suggest to meet up here and normally, we will opt for Ben & Jerry’s. The outlet here is one of the best of Ben & Jerry’s. A very good and affordable place for dinner or just dessert. During weekends, there are always singing performance throughout the night till 11pm. Good music and relaxing atmosphere. You can either choose to sit outside the restaurant for a quieter seat or to sit inside where all the talking sound surround you. Ice cream are consistently good. The last time I was there, I had a wich which is having a scoop of ice cream between two cookies. Chocolate Frudge Brownie flavor is always my first choice there.

Not a huge fan of the highly rich Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. There is always too much going on in the ice-cream for me personally. That aside, Ben & Jerry’s has a great outlet in Dempsey with a huge indoor air-conditioned seating. Definitely a great place to bring your nagging kids after an afternoon of shopping. The prominent vintage«Scooby Doo» Volkswagen Van sits just outside the store front so there is no way you will miss the place. The only sad part is that they don’t offer alfresco seating which is a shame because it would great to enjoy a triple scoop out in the heat!

I love me a spot of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream! They do the most creative chunky ice creams — that’s what I call ice creams with a whole lotta stuff in them. With cute names like Phish Food and Clusterfluff, visiting a B&J outlet is the only way to get some of the less common flavours which aren’t available in the supermarkets. Look out for the vintage VW van outside the Dempsey outlet — it has really high ceilings and can get quite noisy when there are a lot of people in there and the live band is playing. I’ve only had the ice cream there, though they serve food too, though why on earth would you eat food at B&J is beyond me — I’ll just have a pint for lunch(hah!) I’ll have to check that out some other time… If you’re feeling adventurous with a large enough group of friends, try the Vermonster which is 20 scoops of ice cream — it’s something you should attempt just once in your lifetime for the heck of it, but you’re probably going to swear off ice cream for at least a week if you manage to finish it(we were but 3 of us, and man that was… intense)
