Antipodean

I walked into this store for the first time this afternoon and so happy that I did. The atmosphere reminds me of Anthropologie in the States but with more one of a kind items. I really like shopping in stores like Antipodean because you really find interesting clothing, funky/​quirky/​pretty jewelry, lovely bags, super cute shoes, etc. The sales associate was very helpful and I didn’t feel rushed or pressured to purchase items. (A huge turn-​off when the sales associate pressures folks to purchase items) This store is stocked with local and Australian designs and the layout of the store is like shopping in a cosy rustic cabin that you could find in Vermont, Santa Barbara, Utah, etc. I purchased super cute graphic print shorts, a headband, bracelet, and a tote bag for my sister.

Antipodean is a beautiful store above Harry’s at Holland Village, which might be easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. Open the glass door and ascend a flight of stairs to find a roomy boutique that stocks mostly independent Australian designers and some local designers. You’ll be able to find Australian brands such as Mink Pink and Alice McCall known for their feminine and flirty designs. Local designers include Yumumu, known for her origami inspired dresses, and Sundays, a brand that produces simple and casual basics. They also carry accessories such as dainty charm bracelets and simple necklaces. Step further into the shop and you’ll find a section dedicated lifestyle and home items.
The sales assistants are usually helpful without being overpoweringly so you can shop in peace!
