I feel really bad writing this review because I used to be a pretty big fan of Craft/3 Inch Sin. Back in the day, I used to walk past the 3 Inch Sin outlet at Cluny Court and made numerous mental notes to try the chocolate foudant. Unfortunately I never got down to eating it until the second outlet opened at Millenia Walk, which is a short walk from my office. That started a 2 year long ooh-it’s-Friday-and-a-little-chocolate-won’t-hurt affair. I ate the big foudants and the small ones, had them in-store or took ‘em to go, ala mode and sometimes bare… love the plain dark, bailey’s, mint and peanut butter(genius). Good times didn’t last and the Millenia outlet shut down I was left with Craft at Holland Village. At first, Craft was as cool as 3 Inch in that they allowed you to buy the chocolate fondants to go. Then the bakery changed its policy about ordering fondants bare and you had to buy them ala mode at $ 9-ish(it used to be ~$ 6 for a large foudant bare) even if you were ta-baoing. That kinda sucked because everyone knows trying to eat ice cream anywhere outside in Singapore is a b**** and that’s why you get the cake bare. So I stopped patronizing Craft for a couple of months until a week ago. I went in and found out the chocolate fondant display was gone AND you now had to eat the product in-store, with the ice-cream, for $ 9. The genius in this business is the chocolate fondant. Not the cakes(not bad but not mind blowing) or the overpriced drinks/coolers or the beer. The economics of offering your product as a takeaway item are positive(hello higher volume and no service staff required beyond making the sale) and lez be honest, it was great at the $ 6 price point. Not so much at $ 9 even if the ice cream was made from gold vanilla beans. So farewell beautiful chocolate, goey loveliness. It was nice knowing you.

terrible waiting time and forgetful waitresses. Food so-so only.

The owners of Craft Bakery have some work to do after branching out from their dessert specialisation.(They’re the ones who brought you 3 Inch Sin at Millennia Walk). This is my go to when I’m craving a rich dessert. The molten lava cakes($ 6.5) are gorgeous. Disappointingly, the other aspects — service, food and drinks are spotty. 4 stars for the desserts and 2 stars for the rest.

Spent a Sunday arvo brunching here, and let’s just say it was disappointing. I ordered the English brekkie set, with bacon, sausage, eggs, mushrooms, toast, and tomato. Never mind that it was abysmal, it took more than 30 mins to come, by which I was annoyed and about to keel over in hunger. I wasn’t pleased with the two tiny burnt strips of bacon, one sausage, miserable mushrooms, I guess the scrambled eggs saved the entire plate. Definitely not worth the 17++ I paid for it. This place needs to close down. PRONTO.

Came here on a Friday afternoon to chill with a friend. We ordered a Raspberry cooler for two and was utterly disappointed. Firstly, when they say for two, we were expecting a jug. However, we were served a small bottle(similar to the glass water bottle that some korean restaurants use to serve ice water). For $ 10.80 and enough only for one, I’d say the drink was EXTREMELY pricey. Secondly, there was no raspberry in the cooler. There was green apple, orange and grapes, but no raspberry!!! Thirdly, the drink itself was extremely diluted. Will not be returning again :(

I was brought to this place at Holland Village that opened not long ago. This place is opened by the owners of 3 Inch Sin, famed for their molten lava cake(and of course, they do sell it here!). And since its on a weekday, they have a 1-to-1 opening promotion for their sandwiches. The milk in the Flat White was thick enough. The Long Black was strong enough too. The Spam Frites is great to snack on. Savoury and slightly crisp, while not being too salty at the same time. The Turkey Breast Sandwich had smoked turkey breast, mozzarella cheese, cranberry sauce and avocado slices placed on a wholemeal panini serves with chips. This tasted full of flavour. The Craft is their signature sandwich, consisting of maple-candied bacon and green apple slaw placed in between 2 waffles served with chips. The waffles were crisp but slightly tasteless. The bacon and the coleslaw are not bad though.
