I love browsing at Accessorize — all the pretty, feminine accessories scream my name and beg me to buy them. But really, unless the items are on sale or it’s an item that is particularly unique, I can’t bring myself to pay retail price. The times I do go all out at Accessorize are usually during sale periods, or Christmas. I have 2 pairs of kitschy Christmas themed earrings. One is a pair of angels with feathery wings; the other is a pair of wreaths with WORKING little christmas lights — even after(at least) 6 years, they still light up! To sum it up, Accessorize is best for kitschy items, or during sale periods. But even when there is no sale, I can’t walk past an outlet without a quick browse.

Accessorize is a brand from UK selling many accessories, just like the name suggests, as well as bags, purses, wallets and slippers. I find that the prices here are way too steep for the quality of their products. I like the design of their products, but the quality of their bags in particular is pretty bad! In less than half a month, my bag from accessorize started to peel(the faux leather part). I wonder if the humid weather in Singapore is to blame. I definitely did not mishandle my own bag. Since then, I’ve never bought a bag from accessorize, since the quality isn’t that good after all and the price is totally not justifiable. I still go in once in a while though, for inspirations and fashionable items to look out for each season.

I actually like Accessorize although most items are overpriced, and I mean really overpriced. You won’t find a necklace here under $ 8 while a simple money coin purse can rob you of $ 15 to $ 20. Bags here are gorgeous but range from $ 70 to $ 100++. Nonetheless, almost everything here is so pretty that you won’t be able to resist forking out some extra cash. What attracts me to Accessorize is its wide range of lovely and feminine accessories. Items here are unique and actually exhibit a somewhat refined characteristic. I bought a pair of heart shaped floral earrings here one for about $ 12 and it’s still going strong even after two years! They were so thick and pretty, I knew I had to have them. I guess when it comes to Accessorize, you’re really paying for design, uniqueness and quality. Only if you’ve got money to spare or just feel like splurging, Accessorize will do you good.

Accessorize is an accessories(duh) store that sells ‘all things girly’. I’m not sure if I like that as a concept, but as a concept store I think it does pretty well. When I was much younger and into cute and pink stuff, Accessorize was like heaven. There you can find a large selection of hair accessories(pins, scrunchies, hairbands, hats), bags(from clutches to carry-alls), socks, bracelets, necklaces. In recent years, they might have also progressed to selling beach stuff– sun hats, linen shirts, bikinis, flip flops, sunglasses. What is interesting that they have a section dedicated to children, and I imagine that would be really useful if a parent would like to do some last minute shopping for their child’s… princess outfit or something. Prices are not cheap, but the variety is good. One thing though, dont expect these things to last forever. They break quite easily with a careless user like me, and even if they dont, some of the metal accessories tend to rust.
