There are six Tiffanys in tiny Singapore(including two at the airport), and they are all pleasant; none is extraordinary. They seem to specialize in either engagement rings or lower-priced items sub-$ 500. They do not have the full inventory of diamond, gemstone and pearl jewelry or home furnishings — even at the 2-storey Singapore flagship store at Takashimaya. Their service is superlative by Singaporean standards; however, they are a rung or two below US standards. And while they are courteous to everyone, they subtly stereotype — being particularly attentive toward solo men and men accompanied by women. Even with the charge-for-silver polishing, there is a queue at customer service, and most of the folks are seeking said services. So that sounded like the right call. One big bonus, of course, is that the items are duty free. That can make a big difference when making a big purchase.

Came here to get my silver Tiffany & Co necklace cleaned/polished. Since I came just before CNY, the waiting time was about 2 weeks, so I could only collect it after CNY. Nonetheless, the whole process was quick and fuss free. It costs only $ 30, and I’m extremely pleased with the resulting shiny necklace which made it looked just like new. They also gave me a small Tiff & Co pouch to hold the necklace :)

Ah the iconic Tiffanys! This is a two store shop, stocked with beautiful tiffany jewelry. they have all the latest styles and options that you can find on the website. Its a great place to browse, the staff doesnt really bother you or pester you to buy anything and you can try pieces on. The staff could be a little more friendly however, and there is a bit of a snooty vibe that comes across. I only gave the place 3 starts because they used to have free polishing for all tiffany jewelry. I went in a few months ago to have my jewelry polished and was told that they now charge something like $ 50 – 100 per piece, which i think is pretty ridiculous. I ended up just buying the self polishing kit which did the trick.
