On weekdays they have offers for their classic flavours for $ 3(normally it would be $ 4.90). I ordered the vanilla and salted caramel just to see how it fares and although it wasn’t disappointing, it wasn’t that great either. The flavour was authentic no doubt. The concept of the store was cool no doubt. In a way it reduces our carbon footprint by not requiring cooling machinery for the ice cream as it is made on the spot. The taste however… It tasted weird. You gotta really like it to enjoy this. If anything it tasted icy and tongue-numbing. As it melts, the flavour just tastes weird… Very weird. The price is a good deal I guess. But to taste such a weird flavour? No thanks. Maybe if I wanted something to cool off I would eat here again but for now my go-to ice cream choice is still paddlepop’s lava ice cream and Haagen Das. Btw, they have an outlet in Tampines. No idea why it’s not showing in the search results…

Cool concept, but it needs a bit of work. 320 Below is unique in that they make the ice cream in front of you with liquid nitrogen. It sounds cool literally and in theory, but even though the employee right in front of me was behind a glass counter and making my ice cream, I couldn’t see the process clearly as there was just lots and lots of smoke! Maybe they should install a camera above or behind her and broadcast it on one of the screens? I tried their coconut ice cream, which they pride themselves on and charge a premium for. I do like how they’re very generous with the portion. Taste-wise though, I thought it was just okay. I found it more on the icier side and I prefer more creamy, which is why Pong Gelato still has my vote for the best coconut ice cream. Still, it’s a fun concept and would probably be exciting for kids, if you have any.

An amazing concept, freshly made ice cream made right before your eyes. They use liquid nitrogen to freeze the ingredients into ice cream. We had the Black Forest, Thai Coconut, Salted Caramel, and Christmas Horlicks. The Thai Coconut is my favorite flavor with chunks of coconut mixed into the ice cream. The Black Forest was a pretty ice cream with a cherry on top of a bed of whipped cream. The ice cream had chunks of chocolate and cherries mixed in. The Salted Caramel was also nice, with the salt and caramel nicely blended for a sweet and salty flavor. I felt this was nice but you can get this flavor anywhere else. I didn’t get to taste the Christmas Horlicks. My son finished it before I could even get a taste. We went back and ordered Apple Crumble and Tiramisu. The Apple Crumble had chunks of apple crumble blended in. This was also really good. The Tiramisu was also really good, with crumbs, chocolate dust, etc., so that it really taste like a tiramisu.

I know a friend who needs to visit this place at least once a week. I’m quite surprised that the place is not generating more crowd as crazy as my friend. One of my all time favorite ice cream is coconut ice cream. Being Thai, I have high standards for coconut ice cream. I have grown up eating FRESH coconut ice cream back in Thailand. Before trying the coconut ice cream at 320 Below, I have never tasted any coconut ice cream in Singapore that is as good as the ones back home. Most are imitations that lack the freshness, smell, and texture. But at 320 Below… the coconut ice cream is AMAZING. It’s made fresh with pieces/chunks of coconuts inside. The smell is also heavenly. I bought a tub back home to enjoy more of it. The coconut flavor is just one of the many must-tries there. Do try the star items. It might be more expensive but it’s really worth a try. This is the only ice cream I eat for now.
