Unfortunately there isn’t a negative star rating on Friday of the long weekend my date and I went to this pub with friends and happened to be a little drunk and only thinking of the 2 of us. At the time the owner Danny was on stage doing karaōke and in the middle of his song he had stopped and called our friend up to the stage over the mic and proceeded to say to say to are friend«to tell your friends to knock it off» Had he have said this in a more private matter we wouldn’t of had an issue with it since we were drunk but the fact that he stopped in the middle of his song to make a big deal about it and center us out I have a huge issue with this Not an unbias space/equal space

This place has replaced the old Burgers on Main. Their greatest asset is perhaps the patio, which is nice and not impeding sidewalk traffic and there seems to always be a bit of shade somewhere(at least whenever I’ve walked by). The staff is super friendly! We came in during off-peak hours, so the staff weren’t super busy, but they were helpful, without being pests. The atmosphere was relaxed and jovial – both the staff and patrons contributed to the Irish pub feel. I was impressed with their draft selection because I’m not a beer drinker and they have Somersby on tap, which makes me so happy! We went on a Tuesday, which is apparently trivia night. The staff did a great job of trying to get people to participate, but weren’t pressuring anyone at all. What I thought was cool about it, is that the winner gets half the money and the other half goes to charity. The food was pretty good. My partner got a chicken pot pie and he enjoyed it. I got fish and chips, which were pretty standard fish and chips – enjoyable all around. Overall, the menu didn’t offer anything special, but was adequate for pub.

I was ready to give this pub 5 stars the moment I walked in. I was politely greeted by the lovely bartender and served my Guinness immediately. Wonderful draft beer selection! I’ve been looking forward to the opening of this pub, and it’s nestled in one of my favorite parts of the city, Somerset Village. Open mic nights on Thursdays, live music, and an incredibly comfortable and relaxed true Irish Pub ambiance. The servers and the patrons chatted and laughed all night I thought I was in a TV sitcom. Now, the reason I gave it 3 stars…3 stars I hope to be able to change! The food was very bland and disappointing. I ordered the yorshire pudding. Had I not been starving I wouldn’t have taken a second bite, the three small chunks of beef were flavourless, the yorshire was tough and the gravy was something out of a can. My friend had the fish and chips and she said it was lacking much flavor as well. This place is new, and I still recommend it; I’ll be going again, they may just need to work out the kinks in the food department! :s I am rooting for them, and I am not giving up!
