Value for money. The service is a bit hit and miss. They would do the rounds to ensure your bbq plate doesn’t get blackened and if it does, it would be changed out immediately. The heat would also be altered to suit. However, they won’t necessarily turn the heat back up or ask you if you need more water or even more tissues. Customer interactions isn’t all there. Food wise, there’s a wide selection of meat, seafood and veggies. Desserts are limited to three ice cream flavours and a coffee machine. Beers if you’re in need of some alcohol injections. Beware though, if you can’t finish what you took — there will be additional charges for wastage. So eat what you can!

Food was great, servers were friendly and prompt. It was a little overpriced at $ 40 a head, and we were a little concerned when we saw a sign advising that you will get a 25% surcharge if there is excess wastage, but thankfully we didn’t get this surcharge. There is a selection of precooked food and also a number of raw meets that you cook at your table. Overall it was a good night out.

As much as I love AYCEs, there’s really only so much my tummy can hold before I need to be rolled out of the restaurant! For $ 39.99/person, you get to choose from pre-cooked food(like pot sticker dumplings, fried spring rolls and chicken wings), a variety of raw meats & seafood for BBQ’ing and banchan(side dishes) such as kimchee, pickled vegetables etc. Dessert is also included. They had chocolate, strawberry and vanilla ice cream, as well as watermelon/sago dessert. Discount rates for kids are available. Each table comes with a grill plate and a steamboat pot for making soup. The novelty of cooking your own food is what makes it enjoyable, although your clothes and hair end up smelling like BBQ’d meat!
