Dined here last night(Tuesday) with my sister and friend and was pleasantly surprised. We didn’t have a reservation and the restaurant was half full when we arrived — around 6:30pm. The waitress seated us, got our drinks request and returned promptly with the menu’s. I had the Khashi Sekeko and Hario Sag-pat. the lamb chops were moist + delicious and not spicy at all, which was great for me, because i can’t handle spicy food. salad was lovely and fresh. My sister ordered the Chara ko Sekuwa with some extra chilli and wolfed the whole lot down. She made special mention of the chilli, which was served on the side. My friend, who had been here quite a few times before, ordered the Saag ra Panner(Baked ricotta in spinach) — her favourite dish — so of course was also please with her meal. To sum up — great meal and good service.

As an Indian I can 100% say this is the best ‘Indian’ food in Perth! I’ve only ever been to the one in Vic Park. The food is always flavoursome! If you haven’t been here you need to! Favourite dishes here would have to be the lamb saag, Chara Ko sekuwa, the lamb cutlets, butter chicken and the garlic naan bread! So delicious every time!

Been here once thinking I was trying something new & it was just Indian food in an average interior. Service wasn’t rude but the food was boring. Won’t be going back since I’ve been to many better Indian restaurants in Perth.

Came here on a Friday night. Staff are friendly and welcoming. We were seated and served water and spice nuts straight away. We ordered the Butter Chicken($ 23) and the Aloo Cauli($ 15). The chicken was tasty and what you would expect from a butter chicken. The Aloo Cauli had good flavour and overall was a good vegetarian dish. We also ordered a serve of Garlic Naan($ 5 for 4 pcs) and 1 serve of steamed rice($ 5) — 1 serve was plenty for two people. Overall the service was great, the food was good but there was something lacking with the atmosphere.

Busy on a Monday night, always a good sign! I love the fact that leave fried spiced soya beans and peanuts to snack on while you ordered. They were delicious and I was starving! For dinner we ordered chicken and vegetable momos(I preferred the chicken), the goat curry( Unilocal recommended!) and the chicken saag. And some mango lassis. The lassis aren’t listed on the menu but we spied some at a table next to us, they were very pretty and tasted great(not too sweet!) Everything was delicious but the standout dish of the night was the chicken saag. I expected a thick green sauce but what came out instead was a deliciously different rendition, creamy and not dominated by the spinach. Sauces were thick and delicious and serves were generous and we had some takeaway boxes for lunch the next day. Probably not going to make the top of the healthy meals radar but for the taste, who cares. Recommended.

We’re very glad to find out about this Nepalese restaurant not too far from our house! Curry was tasty although a bit fattening(but hey, it’s going to get colder right?) and the service was not bad at all! Just make sure you book a table to avoid disappointment, especially on the weekends!

First time at this place but definitively not the last one! 4 of us had dinner there and everyone really enjoyed their meal. The winner has been the Chicken Ra Saag, amazingly tasty. the salt and pepper shakers haven’t been used as all dishes were perfectly spicy. The service has been great: helpful and very friendly. On top of this: prices are really reasonable and it is BYO. What more can you ask? Maybe just to be around the corner of you place.

5 stars i LOVE this place! My third time coming here for a birthday dinner and we all loved our meals, they came out in a timely matter and couldn’t fault the service one bit. The waitstaff suggested dishes which we loved and looked after us. Forgot the actual name of the dish but in the chicken dishes section its the second one down a chicken curry — delicious! Also ordered the lamb cutlets yet again which didn’t dissapoint. It’s BYO which is always good, splitting the bill came to about $ 30 per person and there were about 12 of us so we ordered a fair bit. I never leave this place feeling bloated or gross, the food is of such a high fresh standard full of flavour. Already craving it so i’ll be back soon.

Hmm, I am a bit picky when it comes to Nepalese food — particually since Nepal is my favourite country in the whole wide world. The food was just ok, and the surrounds were a bit on the plain side. It just lacked atmosphere. Usually I love a good goat curry, but the bones and fatty bits floating around in the masses of sauce was offputting. We might give it another go to try their Dal Baht, but that is just because it is local.

We ordered some take away from here earlier this year and were impressed with friendliness and helpful attitude of staff. They took time to help go through their menu to pick appropriate GF, fructose friendly meals despite being a busy restaurant. When we went in there to collect the take out the restaurant was full. For entrees we ordered Jhinge macha tareko(King prawns in seasoning) and Masu ko tandro(skewered mince lamb). Both were very flavoursome especially when drizzled with the accompanying spiced yoghurt. For mains we shared the Khashi sekeko(lamb cutlets), Macha tareko(pan fried fish in spices) and Aloo bhuteko(potato with spices). Many of the dishes had similar flavours to Indian food however the fish had quite a distinct seasoning which was unusual but enjoyable. The lamb was tender and not overcooked. Great place to add to our take out options 7.5÷10

Don’t be put off by the simple décor and unusual signage, Himalayan Nepalese is easily the best Nepalese in Perth.

One word(or is it two?): «MO-MO’s». Nepalese steamed chicken dumplings served with lip-smacking, spicy dipping sauce. Yowza! You absolutely *must* order these.

I didn’t realise initially that they had two restaurants in Perth(the other one is Inglewood). Bonus. I prefer Nepalese and Himalayan food to Indian food but its usually very hard to come by. The flavours are more defined and the assortment is a nice change from the norm. It is BYO so bring your favourite wine to enjoy your meal with. The goat curry is a little bowl of emotional warfare. It is so delicious that it will take you to a remote village in the Himalayas. Their momos are positively delightful and will set you up nicely. They also travel quite well so it is ok to get them for take-away if you would rather enjoy your meal in the comfort of your own home.
