Ive been drinking stouts for quite a long time. Not until I drove through the majority of Flemish Belgium did I discover the sour style ales. Then I started branching into similar methods. Ive now come upon a new favorite; the Berline Weisse. Light color, tart, complex fruity palate and still a good punch of abv. The Briem 1809 Berliner Weisse is a great example of this beer in a bery traditional style. Flavorful and refreshing, great by itself and even better with salty fatty foods.
