Die Inneneinrichtung das Berlinchen erinnert mehr an ein indisches als an ein deutsches Restaurant.
Umbestellung der Beilagen ist leider ein Problem im Berlinchen.
Service war trotz wenigen Gästen etwas langsam.
Geschmacklich aber sehr gut.

Initial thoughts are that this isn’t going to be the best experience despite previous 5 star reviews. We were probably sat at our table for half an hour before even a drinks order was taken. Thankfully after that bad first impression things did improve.
The local draught beer called Rollberg was excellent.
My menu choices were Goulash soup for starter and a chicken escalope served with fries and a mushroom sauce. I didn’t manage a dessert! The portion sizes are excellent and the food delicious. Just the ticket for a hearty appetite.
After the initial slow service, afterwards the service was much more efficient. The window has a sticker displaying various cards which are accepted but when one of our group needed to pay by card this wasn’t possible. We should really have been advised of that at the start.

A great treat! Down a side street a few blocks from our hotel, it’s worth a visit. I’m not sure if our waiter was the owner or manager, I think there was one other employee in the dining area, but he worked on all of the tables. We were the only English speakers there. Not sure what the house beer was, but it was excellent, crisp and refreshing. My traditional sausages and sauerkraut was wonderful and the «housewife’s reciepe» herring was excellent.
Again, everyone was very friendly and helpful.

This place is great. There is friendly service by the owners. Their English wasn’t the best but we got by!!! The traditional German food was great and very reasonably priced. Big hearty portions. You might have to wait a little while as it is a small operation but definitely worth it. Good beers as well. Definitely recommend, we did a 30 min U-​Bahn trip to get there and it was well worth it. Shame it was closed on Sunday or we would have gone back!

Das Berlinchen ist ein schnuckliges kleines Restaurant mir einer überschaubaren Speisen– und Getränkeauswahl. Das befürworte ich sehr. Die Küche bringt bodenständige deutsche Kost in guter Qualität und zu akzeptablen Preisen auf den Tisch. Leider war nur eine Person für die Theke und den Service zuständig. Darunter leidet meines Erachtens das subjektive Wohlfühlgefühl, auch wenn der arme Mann sein bestes versuchte. Gäste wollen auch ein bisschen Servicewärme, dazu fehlte hier die Zeit.

So stellt man sich Hausmannskost vor: frisch zubereitet (von daher muss man etwas Zeit mitbringen), traditionelle Gerichte mit Liebe gemacht und geschmacklich «erste Sahne». Uriges Ambiente, netter Service, leckeres Bier. Hier findet man alles für einen netten Abend. Reservierung angebracht.

Wow, another great typical traditional German Restaurant in the heart of the city. Very close to KuDamm in Mitte.
Well worth the trip if you are looking for a great quiet little place to eat. Very Gemütlich! They serve local brewed RollBerg Bier, try the Red it was excellent!
The Spaetzle Is Home made and the pork
medallions were excellent!
My spouse had a salad and was very happy!

Wir haben hier schon mehrfach gegessen und waren jedesmal rundum zufrieden. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich und geschmackvoll im Altberliner Stil eingerichtet. Die Speisen waren allesamt frisch und lecker zubereitet. Köstlich die Kohlroulade, die Schlachteplatte und nicht zu vergessen der Pfannkuchen mit Apfelscheiben zum Dessert. Sehr freundlicher aufmerksamer Service. Wir haben uns hier jedesmal sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen garantiert wieder. Sehr empfehlenswert.
