Hotel Indigo

relative neues Hotel. Schöné, sehr stylisch eingerichtete Zimmer, schönes Bad mit Glasscheibe zum Schlafzimmer. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist ok, aber auch nicht umwerfend. Die Rezeption war teilweise überfordert, aber sehr Nett.

Please do yourself a favor and do not stay at this hotel.
It says its a 4 – 5 star hotel… FAR FAR FAR FAR from it.
Staff:
My Girlfriend and I were beat from traveling for a month in Europe and went here to relax! We had a cleaning lady that kept on knocking trying to get into our room HONESTLY at least 10 times!!! We had the hangar on the door saying no service please and I kept telling the lady to go away. Finally calling the front desk for the lady and other people to leave us alone! IT HAPPENED TWO DAYS IN A ROW!!! We though we were going to sleep relax and get room service worst room experience I have ever had.
Front desk staff could not be any ruder and honestly I use to be a regional manager for a multi billion dollar company in the states and this is the most appalling staff I have ever worked with!
Dirk Dreyer the Manger was contacted and could not be bothered even responding to us for a week. We asked for the manager while we were there and they just say he was busy. Finally I explained what has happened and he could not be bothered at all and was very rude. He said he would reimburse us for one night and it took him 3.5 months to do so! Finally I got the Regional management group on the phone and they said they have had these problems with him before. Why does he have a job?
He said many times his regional manger would contact me and never did! I have emails from Dirk Dreyer saying «I promise he will contact you asap» Regional manager is a failure too!
Food/​Beverage:
Came here and wanting to just stay in the hotel to relax and enjoy our stay. First night bar is closed for a private party and the front desk tells us to go to the «HOLIDAY INN to get food or drinks» HOLY @#$% what are we doing paying for this place when its closed to its guests???
Finally ate here. The food was disgusting and we had a huge long black hair in our food and my Girlfriend is blonde and I have very short hair. No apologies and the staff couldn’t be worse.
Cocktails were abysmal… honestly I have been a beverage director many times and it was the worst cocktails I have ever had at a 4 – 5 star hotel. Go to HB house 2 blocks away and drink the beer! The staff and everything was terrible.

In conclusion please don’t make the same mistake we have with this place. We were staying at 4 – 5 star hotels all over Europe for a few months and never had any problems… nothing! Then Dirk Dreyer and his abysmal team and hotel come along and ruin our experience. 4 – 5 star my @#$!! Hotel indigo get your life together and make an experience where people would want to stay. We talked to 2 – 3 other people at dinner staying there and they were not impressed at all too! Don’t get the BAIT AND SWITCH they are selling it is worse than a Motel 6 or Holiday inn!

Staff:
Nice people who were helpful. No complaints.
Room:
Not too much space. A lot of mirrors to create the image of a larger room. Didn’t have a work desk, but a small table with outlets close by. Did most my work elsewhere, so I didn’t mind. The colors in my room where yellow and turqoise. Not exactly my favorite colors, but then I didn’t really spend much time in the room besides sleeping.
There was a Bosch (I believe) coffee machine in the room where you could make your own surprisingly good coffee. That is a definite plus.
Food:
Good breakfast. Bread, rolls, (scrambled) eggs, bacon, etc. The works. The dinner was ok, but the meat was a little dry (only ate there the first day).
Fitness room:
Quite a bit of cardio equipment, but not much in the way of strength training equipment. Ok, but not much else. I believe it was rather new, so maybe that has changed by the time you read this.
Hotel in general:
Centrally located on Alexander Platz with the tram and metro close by. You’ll also find bars (the one in the hotel served me a great white russian. Cudos for the «Big Lebowski» reference), cafés, restaurants, shopping malls (at least two) and you’ll also find the Dome and the TV Tower within walking distance.
The hotel was booked by the office, so I don’t know too much about the pricing, but I believe it’s quite reasonable.
Wifi: Free option as well as a paid alternative.
Verdict:
I would have no problem staying here again. Has everything you need, and the location is spot on, though I might opt for Das Stue by Tiergarten which is a great hotel experience if you can get a room there.
Anyhow, you won’t go wrong with Hotel Indigo.

The hotel is located on AlexanderPlatz, next to the tube. It belongs to the same family as Holiday Inn and Crown Plaza, so you can be sure of the quality.
The hotel has a small entrance, but you feel directly warmly welcome and the personnel is there to help you out.
The rooms are rather small but it has to do with the concept of this new hotel in town, small rooms but with all amenities and they look really modern with warm colors and furniture.
The bathroom has a shower and a toilet, that’s it; again everything is stylish.
It is a perfect location for business trips and /​or leisure. Also price is fine for the quality of the hotel.
A few tips:
–There is no iron in the room, so you’d better ask at the reception
–You can add the hotels points to your Miles & More Card and gets free nights
–The specialty of the kitchen is the entrecôte. A 3 courses meal for 15 EUR.
–Room service is rather limited

Die Zimmer sind zwar recht klein aber durchaus gemütlich. Eine moderne Ausstattung der Zimmer pastt zu dem rest dieses Hotels. Neben dem Bett wartet ein Wecker der zugleich das iPhone/​iPod mit Strom versorgt.
Das Bad war schön sauber und die Dusche war herrlich (Regendusche).
Wirklich nervig waren die Fahrstühle (einer war Defekt), so dauerte es teilweise ewig bis man einen Platz in einem Fahrstuhl ergattern konnte.
Die Hotelbar gefiel mir auch sehr gut, leckere Drinks (zu happigen Preisen) und sehr nettes Personal.
