I really like Turkish cuisine. But after two weeks on business in Istanbul, I was just a little tired of the Turkish flavor palate. So when I spotted this Indian Restaurant near the Ciragan Palace area, it was too good an opportunity to pass up. On the plus side, it was, indeed, a break from Turkish food. The staff was friendly and spoke enough English to get along. The food was prepared fresh. It came hot(temperature.) On the less-positive side, as others have noted, it is definitely not The Real Thing. This is a Turkish neighborhood and less touristy. So I would call it Indian/Turkish food. The dishes were pretty bland. Now, in fairness, the waitress did ask me how spicy I wanted it and I indicated medium. But on the Turkish scale medium is pretty low-end on the American scale. Notwithstanding, the lamb dish was tasty and the mulligatawny soup was a winner. The only serious disappointment was the Garlic Nan, which was baked hard and pretty tasteless. So, I am glad I gave it a shot. It was a welcome break. I would recommend it for someone in the same state of mind(stomach) as I was. But I won’t be going back very soon.

Food was not fresh at all. I think the food was cooked a while back and just heated up for us. The service was good though but the restaurant is at best a 3 star restaurant… given the four lira status i thought it would be almost fine dining but far from it. Also the address on Unilocal is not right. The actual restruarant is about 5 mins walk from the rest listed(in front of four seasons)

it was just okay. Yes, I have hit the point of my stay here in. Turkey where j am tired of Turkish food and wanted something spicy. I came here with a couple friends and it was just okay… The food wasn’t spicy enough and the bread wasn’t as fresh as it could have been. Would come again but not soon. Service was good at the end of the food but the food could be better

I went to this place with a friend My first time trying Indian food in Turkey. The food was ok, but I definitely wouldn’t call it indian food. Also I might be spoilt by trying so much Indian food in Europe. But the service was good! And I guess it is not really that easy to find a proper Indian food in Turkey.
