I was extremely impressed with the quality of food and service at the in-house restaurant Aqua at the Four Seasons on the Bosphorus. We ate there last night as a special last meal during our week long trip to istanbul and though we knew the location wash stupendous, the food is what truly won me over. I got a carpaccio fish starter with a wonderful herb glaze that really hit the spot without being at all heavy, while my boyfriend opted for the risotto with rosemary and a balsamic reduction(which besides presentation — tasted amazing and we live In italy) I got a salad with dried figs that was beautifully dressed. Our wine was a Turkish Merlot and was absolutely perfect for our meal. Medium bodied and not too fruity or dry, great recommendation by our waiter. Our main courses were a beef filet and tartare, always a very special meal for us and both were cooked to perfection. My filet was cooked medium served with two different kind of sauces, red wine reduction and your classic French béarnaise. We finished with dessert, a chocolate tart garnished with gold leaf served with praline ice cream and a simple plate of fruit. Definitely one of the best meals in the city and the service was very attentive. I am going to dream about this for years to come…
