Vapiano

Well it’s a Vapiano like all over the world. Fresh food and the kitchen is open until very late.
It’s usually crowded so if you’re really hungry choose pizza as it always comes first.

Have been here many times. Service is kind and fast. Good value for money.

Me and my wife went here for a dinner with our two year old son. It was Saturday night at 18.00 and the place was packed. A lot of families with small children. The concept is good for families but I waited 30 minutes for two pastas and 10 minutes for a glass of milk after that. That’s too long. As an improvement I hope that the restaurant would put milk as a drink option when cueing for food. Now there was basically only coca-​cola. It would help to shorten the cue times a lot. And as another improvement, it’d ve great to see «potta» in all the toilets. would help with kids in certain ages a lot.

Vapiano is a place that I frequent whenever I am in Northern Europe but this particular Vapiano is a must if you want a casual place to have Italian food or pizza. This is a beautiful restaurant that serves all the food Vapiano is famous for. The soups, both tomato and potato were excellent and the good old-​fashioned pizza was excellent.
I love the location, I loved the openness and if you can get a cornet table upstairs for people watching, go for it.

It was cool at first but the food isn´t really that good. There are dirrefent better pizza places in town. Go for pasta. A big plus for the large bar and good bartenders.

This is a pretty cool place where you order your food and watch them cook it for you. Of course, this makes lines just a few people long take a very long time. I think I had to wait more than 30 minutes in a line of 5 people. I agree with the previous review that some sort of system where you order in one place and get the food somewhere else would be much more efficient.
The restaurant is ok, but the chairs are very uncomfortable. More like bar stools actually. It is definitely a place for lunch rather than dinner. The pasta is ok, but would be much better without the annoyed mood after the long waiting time.

The worst service we have ever received!!! To give a general info before the story; the place is full of loud teenagers! And it is not surprising to feel so heavy after eating there because they use an excessive amount of butter to save the olive oil. But totally okay food for the cost.
The worst service story begins like this. When we were at the cashier to pay, we were charged double our bill and the personnel had to call her superior to solve the problem, and instead, he created an even bigger problem! He started with yelling «where is the bill», «where are the cards» «why the screen doesn’t show anything» «who made the payment». At least begin with a «sorry for the inconvenience»! When they took so long to fix the problem, we started complaining that we would miss our bus and that will make us wait a very long time and we rather have them be quick to solve the problem. He was still telling us he can do nothing about it and he doesn’t care about them taking our time and us missing our bus. It ended up with him paying us the rest in cash after we insisted and then he told us we should never come back!!! How professional is it to reflect your own fault to the customers in such an awful way! We will for sure never set our feet in that place again just as we were asked to.

Wow– I’m fuming right now as I stand in line waiting to order my pasta. It’s been 30 minutes… Just standing, haven’t ordered.
The rest of my group got pizza and ordered long ago, I imagine they are enjoying their pies right now. I got stuck in a line behind a single person ordering for 8 people– wish I had a warning — but I’m next and the other lines are at least 8 people long by now– so I just have to wait it out.
The concept of ordering your food and watching it be cooked in front of you is cool in theory but totally inefficient in practice.
If they had 1 line for pasta and you went to the next available window/​cook, like at the bank, it could be a lot better!
After all that… the pasta… yeah, not that good. My spaghetti noodles were rubbery.

Ich kann die guten Bewertungen zwar nachvollziehen, empfinde speziell diesen Vapiano aber als weniger gut, was eher am Service liegt. Vapiano ist natürlich Systemgastronomie und sollte natürlich überall gleich gut schmecken, was es m.E. auch tut. Frech fand ich, dass man uns zu dritt nicht einlassen wollte, mit dem Hinweis, auf 25 Minuten Wartezeit aufgrund zu hohem Andrangs. Sämtliche Bedienpunkte waren allerdings mit höchstens einem Kunden beschäftigt und es waren wirklich noch viele Plätze frei (es gab zwar auch Reservierungen, aber längst nicht auf allen Tischen). Bei uns in Deutschland lebt man das pragmatisch: Ist hier noch frei? Wenn ja, ab dazu. Da scheinen die Schweden anders zu ticken ;-) Empfand das als unfreundlich, zumal es eh schon schwer ist, in Schweden ab 21 Uhr irgendwo was gutes, warmes zu essen zu finden :-(

We’re Vapianos fans. This chain is in U.S. and in Europe. It is consistently tasty and a great value. This specific location was no different. The coffee/​dessert area with comfy chairs was by the windows in the front, great for people watching. The system in Vapianos requires obtaining a card for your tab. Upon visiting food rations, they will scan items into your tab until you are ready to check out.

Great restaurant with a lot of choice and a good food.
Prices are corrects and decoration really nice.

A few years ago I wrote a review in German, and just noticed that there is no review in English at all, so I just translate my review from 2008 — recently I was at Vapiano in London an still liked it :)
It is a very good italian restaurant, where you can watch the chefs cooking your meal — alone that is worth a visit!
When you enter Vapiano, you get a plastic card which is used to track what you buy during your stay there. Then you just queue at any counter, order and watch how the dish is being prepared just in front of you.
I liked the food extraordinarily and the prices were quite fair for Stockholm.

So wie man es kennt, nur in einer anderen Sprache :-) nettes Ambiente, nette Mitarbeiter, leckeres Essen. Einfach Vapiano!

Mir war bis jetzt das Konzept von Vapiano fremd. Heute aber mal dort gegessen und muss sagen absolut super Essen! Das mit den Mini-​Mobiles womit einem signalisiert wird das sein essen fertig ist hat schon was. Das Publikum hier ist typisch Stureplan, was der Sache aber kein Abbruch tut. Wer eine typisch schwedische Pizza erwartet ist evtl ein wenig entäuscht, wer aber eine typisch italienische Pizza erwartet kommt voll auf seine Kosten. Pasta hab ich noch nicht probiert, kommt das nächste mal dran. Glaube ich werd zum Vapiano-​Fan, muss demnächst mal die in Berlin antesten.

Einfach sehr gemütlich dort. Das Vapiano liegt in der Nähe des Stureplan, wo es noch viele andere Café uns Shopppingmöglichkeiten gibt !!!

Vom Glamour und Gesehen-​Werden-​Faktor vielleicht keine Alternative zum Sturehof, zu Tures oder zu EAST, aber preistechnisch für die Gegend Stureplan /​Östermalm allemal erwähnenswert und eine wirklich vernünftige Essensmöglichkeit.
Im Vergleich mit Vapiano in Wien, Köln oder München ist, wie gesagt, kein Unterschied zu spüren — abgesehen vom typisch-​schwedischen Gratis-​Wasser mit Limette oder Zitrone.
Ein schöner Blick auf Humlegården mitsamt der Königlichen Bibliothek machen einen Abstecher auf einen Cappuccino im loungemäßigen Entrée durchaus wert.

Grosszügig angelegt ist es in Stockholm tatsächlich. So wie in Stockholm (siehe Vorredner) macht das Konzept richtig Sinn.
… zumal in der Gegend von Stockholm in der sich dieses Vapiano befindet ;))
In Deutschland allerdings bin ich mir da nicht so sicher was ich von dieser Kette halten soll

Da ich von meinem Büro das Vapiano quasi täglich sehen kann und auch bereits die in Qype geschriebenen Beiträge gelesen hatte, musste ich das Vapiano heute Mittag einfach einmal ausprobieren.
Zugegeben, ich kenne das Vapiano — Konzept aus Düsseldorf und bin dort mehr oder weniger regelmäßiger Gast. Es ist schon erstaunlich, dass alles — aber wirklich alles — genauso aussieht wie in Düsseldorf oder auch in Nürnberg — nur eben enorm größer. Trotz der Größe war es schwierig, zur Mittagszeit einen Platz zu finden, die Schweden schätzen das Konzept demnach ebenfalls.
Neben der Pasta — die immer frisch zubereitet wird — kann ich als Salat-​Fan auch den Rucula Salat mit dünn geschnittenen Parmesan und gebratener Pute empfehlen — ein Gedicht ;-)
Anders als in good old Germany ist, dass man hier stilles Wasser for free bekommt — natürlich findet ihr auch die leckeren Gummibärchen an der Kasse, da fühlt man sich doch gleich ganz heimisch in der Ferne ;-(
