They changed owner and that may have affected the quality. Not great but still good. Hopefully they just have a learningcurve. Anyway their fried Sushi is worth a try!

Best spicy tuna roll I’ve ever had! Next time I’m definitely opting for take-away though. Dining in, the roll was 145 sek, to take away, it drops to 89 sek… which is a steal, trust me. Will definitely return, this is my new sushi spot!

The second best sushi restaurant in Stockholm, in my opinion. The only drawback is that it is popular, and so a bit hectic. On the other hand, they are fast, so it is perfect if you have limited time. Except that sometimes, there is a queue.

I will preface this review by saying that I have eaten Ramen at some of the best joints in the world(including Butao Ramen in HK, & Ippudo in Shanghai & Singapore). I only ate the Ramen here. It was dreadful. And expensive($ 25 /SEK149). Don’t order it. The service was terrific, & everyone was super friendly.

I know, Japanese food in Sweden, how good can it be? Well in this case, pretty damn awesome. My friend took me here for some casual dinner, the place is located inside a small gallery and shares the space with other food options and some small stores. We were greeted by a very nice guy who showed us the table. Soundtrack was pretty good, I really enjoyed all the songs that were playing. I opted for a 9 piece sushi plate that comes with a misso soup(this costs 100 kr). On the table, a big bottle of water that you can take as much as you want. Misso was nice and warm, perfect to warm up after a cold day in Stockholm. The sushi plate was pretty big, and the fish was very fresh Sushi man speaks Spanish, which I think it’s very interesting if you think he is Japanese living in Sweden. Conclusion: Nice place, affordable food and great service, you can’t go wrong.

I love everything but one thing about Tokyo and that’s their horrible uncomfortable chairs. Otherwise the staff is great, the interior is hip and modern and the sushi is superb. Tokyo Diner is great for shorter stays or if you are used to sitting on high chairs while eating at a table that is not quite proportional to the table. Take away is also recommended. In short. Tokyo Diner is one of the better sushi places in Stockholm. Worth a try!

I seldom eat fish and seafood so there is a general hesitation for me to head to sushi places as many of them have fairly bad vegetarian or meat options. I had however heard good things(from reliable sources like Patrik K and Paula D) about Tokyo Diner so whenI was in the area I could not resist trying. This small place is located inside Hötorgshallen(a mix of small market st alls selling food and restaurants) on the entrance floor. It has a fairly realxed feel to it despite Hötorgshallen often being very busy. We were quickly seated at an available table and the menu was already at the table. I was fairly set on getting the noodle soup and also some small pieces of tuna on the side to just try the sushi. When I spotted a guy at a table next to me eating the pulled pork tacos all that changed though. So eating at a Japanese restaurant I went for pork tacos — I can however say that it was a great choice. The tacos were excellent, spicy, flavorful and tender. I will say that it is probably the best Mexican food I had in Stockholm — granted looking at the competition it is not that difficult but these were awesome and I would return just for these. I also tried the cod from the person eating with me. That was also an excellent dish, carefully fried and with delicious asparagus and great ponzu majo. The only drawback in my view is the poor opening hours(close 18 mon-thurs, 18.30 Fri and 16 on Sat) and the prices are not really for your everyday lunch(145 for tacos and 185 for the cod). I would however rather pay a bit more and get food that tasted delicious!

Considering the pricepoint this is some of the best sushi in stockholm. Also the hot dishes are great. I highly recommend the noodle soup! This is a place that actually make me want to travel to the city center during a weekend and brave all the annoying people :)
