In general I am fan of Bishops Arms as they have had a clear profile and strategy of offering better than average food, great beer selection and combining that with an atmosphere where it is possible to sit and talk. Upon stepping into this Bishops I got a bad feeling and should have trusted that feeling. The space is very large and on a Saturday evening it was extremly loud and around half of the people present were in a state that should have excluded them from ordering any more drinks. Strange for a Bishops they were also playing loud music which made it difficult to talk. The idea with the Bishops Arms have been to be a bit of a nicer pub but this one felt more focused on serving lots of beer, playing loud music and getting people drunk. The selection of beer was good compared to many pubs but compared to other Bishops Arms they were very poor. A lot of beers sold out, and the staff were not very knowledgeable. Had one beer and the left and will probably not be back. There are much better options around here.

Cozy British-style pub in Gamla Stan. We popped in here for a few beers before dinner. They have a large number of drafts but nothing super-exciting. Their bottle beer selection is deeper. One thing I noticed is that the Bishops Arms has several(5+) non-alcoholic beer choices, which might make this a good location for people who don’t drink to socialize in a pub setting. This Bishops Arms also has an extensive scotch whisky selection, if that’s your thing. We liked the Bishops Arms just fine, but didn’t think it was anything special either. A decent choice for a pint. They do not offer WiFi.

Great beer, great food and great staff! You go here for the international brands as the local ones. The food is above average considering this is a pub. And yes, they do serve a hamburger that is really tasty. Lots of space offers you sitting by yourself or with company.

Well, if you like me enjoy BA — the décor and the range if beers you will not be disappointed! This newest family member located in Gamla Stan just around the corner off the metro is the largest Bishops I have seen. Plentyful of seats, so even on a Friday AW you will find a decent table. Staff is friendly and super helpful. Ask for a sample if you fannot decide or do not want to «blind buy» a nonfamiliar beer. ESB is always a sure hit! I do not know if they found a place with most of the décor right or if they did it all from scratch — but you will feel at home if you are used to and like Bishops style. As for food, I seldom eat at BA, they are OK I guess, in general, but I can’t say anything particulary for this place. I will certainly find my way back next time in Stockholm, and The Liffey now got a competitor. They accept AMEX.
