Very cute and cosy little restaurant in the middle of Gamla Stan. The staff is very friendly and the food was great. My sister and I both had the salmon and it was delicious! I would recommend to stop here for lunch anytime!

Was hungry and didn’t know where to eat. Asked a lady in a cloth shop nearby. She recommended me to come here. It turned out great and I am satisfied. Good quality with reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Petit restaurant cosy, il était plein quand nous sommes arrivés, mais nous avons pu boire une bière dans un pub attenant.
La carte est simple mais alléchante, moitié poissons moitié viandes.
Les plats étaient excellents, cuits comme il faut, même les desserts étaient bons.

Great little self serve restaurant. All of the food was super cheap but delicious. It came out to 90 sek each. All meals came with drinks and salad too! Great value and friendly service!

My friend and I were looking for a delicious, relatively traditional Swedish meal and found this lovely restaurant (thanks to Unilocal). When we first arrived the restaurant wasn’t overly busy but we were made to wait for ten or so minutes for a table as there were only two servers working at the time. Although slightly annoyed we dutifully stood back until, finally, we were seated and given menus.
After looking over the options I was torn– everything looked incredible! I decided on the Reindeer dish (in the mains section of the menu) as I’d never tried that particular meat before and it is very, very Swedish.
Well, I was not disappointed at all! My meal was incredible! The meat cooked to perfection, the sauces blended with all the flavors perfectly… The only disappointment was that I finished it and my plate didn’t magically refill itself!
Our waitress was efficient and hilarious and managed to talk us both into dessert– we got the Chocolate cake which was also to die for! Fluffy, light and with a layer of gooey, fudge like sauce in the centre! Possibly the best dining experience I’ve had in a very long time!

Yea yea yea, it’s located in the middle of touristy Gamla Stan. But I loved dining in that part of town most every night during my stay in Stockholm. Gamla Stan just seemed like a very happening place and Slingerbulten reflected that with packed patrons every night.
So one night I decided to try this restaurant late at night and it didn’t disappoint. They serve traditional Swedish food and that’s exactly what I was looking for. So I ordered the reindeer smoked sausage and fish stew. Both were excellent and the portions were just right.
The service was great too.
The inside is quaint and cozy. It’s not elegant but neither is it tacky. I found it to be the perfect place to relax and take a load off my feet after a busy day of walking around Stockholm. You may too.

Good food, fresh flavours, busy little venue. Book ahead of time, or get in really early. Deer carpaccio with lingonberries, herrings with mash. Staff can get quite busy in such a small venue.

I had my first meal in Stockholm here. I found the restaurant charming and the food delicious. I had the cured salmon appetizer and the herring with Lingon berries and mashed potatoes for the entrée. It was all delicious. Our waiter was also quite nice. He was attentive and personable. I would definitely recommend this place!

Nous sommes tombés par hasard sur cette adresse, et grand bien nous a prit de nous asseoir à leur table. Après une bonne bière et des tranches de pain suédois (offerts) nous nous sommes régalés grâce à des viandes cuites à la perfection et remarquablement assaisonnées. Le staff était agréable et souriant et la note finale pas trop salée. Une bonne surprise donc.

Good fresh food, good quality, good service. Not cheap. Good location.
