Ok food for the price. Good bread basket. Many local beers to try. Had the meatballs… nothing memorable. Herring plate was good to try to taste variety of herring.
Nice atmosphere. Staff was busy and didn’t have much time to explain things.
No wifi.

If you’re looking for Swedish, this is the place to go. Classic traditional Swedish food with no nonsense sides, very low key and blue collar crowd in the best possible way. Nothing but Swedish beer on tap and fridge. Thankfully, not a hipster to offend the sight, sound, or smell.

We were staying at the Hilton so the location was nice. The food was good too, price was average, but the dining room was extremely dark.

The food is just amazing! So tasty and fresh! I tried the beef medallion and it was worth the price! I would definitely come again! The place is cozy and like the environment.

The Elk Meatballs and Porter Steak were amazing and the service was prompt and friendly. A true authentic Swedish experience and worth it. Also recommend the Restaurants namesake Lager.

Für Stockholmer Verhältnisse günstig.Sehr gute Hausmannskost gemütliche Einrichtung, angenehme Lautstärke, schnelle freundliche Bedienung und das Essen kam auch schon nach 15 –20 Minuten.
Meine Empfehlungen: zum Trinken das Bier des Monats bestellen, kostet nur 55 Kronen, der Weißwein war nicht so der Kracher.

We wanted traditional Swedish restaurant with traditional meals. And that’s what Bla Dorren is.
First of all, the staff was so nice and professional.
We tried the salt cured salmon with boiles potatoes and mustard mayo and the elk meatballs with mashed potatoes and lingonberries. Both meals were delicious. The salmon was fresh and just too amazing for words. The mayo was something I’ll definitely try to recreate in my own kitchen. And the elk meatballs were a perfect comfort food dish.
It was on the pricy side, sure, but it was worth every penny.

A lovely and affordable meal with friendly staff and traditional Swedish dishes. We had the cheese pie for dessert, which included a tasty white garlic crime sauce and roe on top, which was an interesting and delicious combination of flavored and not what was expected! I had the Elk meatballs that were served with lingonberry sauce and gravy, creamy mashed potatoes, and pickles. The price was also good for the area considering the already high costs of Stockholm.

Very good! I had the ribeye steak — YUM! My brother had the meatballs which were very good but we decided they weren’t quite as good as the Swedish meatballs we had at Meatballs for the People the night before. They were able to seat us within a few minutes at 8pm on a nice Tuesday with no reservation.

If you want to try Swedish cuisine for the first time, this place is lovely! It was recommended to me by a girl working in a nearby shop and from the moment I stepped in the service was friendly and helpful. I tried the Skomakarlada, which was delicious. The beef was juicy and I really loved the mashed potatoes with leeks and the sauce. My husband had the pepper steak which was also delicious. The place itself is charming and I really enjoyed my meal there. I wouldn’t mind going back one day to try the elk meatballs!

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to get a feel for traditional swedish cooking. My american family of seven went to Blå Dörren on our first night in Stockholm recently. Many of us ordered the Moose Meatballs, which were fantastic. There were also orders for chicken and råbiff. All of it great with a couple of local beers.
We will definitely return next time we come to Stockholm.

I had the picked herring and the elk meatballs. Herring was good, but the meatballs were excellent! They come with mashed potatoes, pickled cucumber and pomegranate.

Crowded, lively, old-​timey feeling. Just what a traveler wants, to get a peek at daily Swedish life. I ordered the gravlax, my dining companion had fried herring with mashed potatoes and lingonberry sauce. Delicious. Highly recommend the house-​made aqvavits– I sipped the horseradish along with my gravlax, and was in heaven. Plenty of food, but the next morning we regretted not starting the meal with the herring plate (’cause where else can you find a herring plate on a menu??)– memorable meal, and delicious.

This restaurant and service is fantastic and the prices are reasonable for what seems like gourmet dining!

Split elk meatballs and salmon with a friend. The meatballs were incredible. The salmon wasn’t bad but didn’t blow me out of the water. Definitely a solid meal for a fairly reasonable price (by Stockholm standards)

This is the place to go if you wanna eat a good portion of traditional Swedish food for a very reasonable price.

Cute! I came here for a late-​night dinner before heading out to Fotografiska.
Since this was the part of the trip where I hadn’t gotten sick of meatballs and mashed potatoes yet, I ordered their veal meatballs after failing to find the mythical pork dish mentioned in previous reviews. I nearly exploded from trying to eat all of it — there’s absolutely no way I could have managed to eat more than half by myself. I tried their house beer after asking for a local brew and, although I found it a little boring, it went well with the meatballs.
The restaurant was pretty quiet during this weekday night in March, so I was able to enjoy a nice, quiet meal by myself with a book. The staff was a group of super sweet gentlemen and they made me feel very welcome with frequent check-​ins and smiles. Definitely a nice place to go for traditional Swedish fare, a full tummy, and a warm, fuzzy feeling when you leave.

Wow. If anyone doesn’t believe Sweden has fine cuisine, bring them here. The meatballs were phenomenal. This place serves up traditional Scandinavian fare expertly prepared. The portions were hearty, vegetables were fresh, and the ambiance was both refined and relaxed, with a good energy and buzz. Definitely come here on a trip to Stockholm.

I always try to find something that has a combination of authenticity to the locals and modernism at the same time. This is such a place for Stockholm.
Nestled away around the corner from the Hilton Stockholm is this place, two doors from Subway — yes that sandwich shop.
The Steak Tartare is delicious and comes unprepared so you can adjust to your liking (easy on the mustard).
The fried Herring was awesome, pan fried and prepared with a mustard rub this was the perfect, not to heavy male to a busy day.
A variety of local beers on tap and a solid selection of ciders help to finish off the meals.

This place is excellent if you are looking for decently priced and good food. The lunch, while busy (during 12pm), was still brought out promptly and tasted delicious. The dinner was quieter, a bit pricier, but was still delicious. I ate here three times during my 10 day stay in Stockholm.
1. The lunch comes with the meal, salad bar, bread, soft drink, and coffee/​tea. For around 95kr.
2. The food seemed to be traditional swedish cuisine.
3. The meat and fish entrees were both delicious.
4. It came out quickly.

Verdict: It’s OK.
Pros:
— Slussen. Especially preferable when playing tourist. Good starting point and close to almost everything.
— Price. For Stockholm this must be regarded as grate bang for the buck. Lunch time especially.
— Service.
— Traditional/​old school Scandinavian home style/​comfort food cooking.
— English menu. It makes my life so much easier not being the interpreter all the time.
— Nice and varied Swedish beer assortment.
Cons:
— Can be very busy thus feel very crowded and small.
— Rib-​eye has been very chewy on several occasions! Beef, in general, seems to be the Achilles heel of the place.
— For some this might feel too traditional. I love bringing tourists here to introduce and taste traditional Scandinavian cuisine but I myself wouldn’t regard the food as exciting or creative. There is just no twist to it!

I think the reason this restaurant has received great reviews is the price, which is quite good for Stockholm, under 100 SEK for main dish, salad bar (about 12 items), drink including beer and bread. Tip: you have to go inside to bar to order. Ask for English menu (Har du en meny på engelska?), order and pay then get salad bar and sit anywhere. My spaghetti carbonara had an egg over easy on it, a bit unexpected, so you ask to not have it if you like (Inga ägg, vänligen).

Das Restaurant liegt unmittelbar am Knotenpunkt Slussen und ist somit wunderbar zu erreichen. Das Essen kam promt und war lecker. Auch das Personal war zuvorkommend und die Preise moderat. Insbesondere die Heringsplatte als Vorspeise ist erwähnenswert. Wir mussten ein paar Minuten auf einen Tisch warten, da alles belegt war. Dennoch sehr zu empfehlen.

Gutes Essen zu moderaten Preisen! Sir Loin Steak ist zu empfehlen. Freundliche wortgewandte Bedienung!

Uriges und gemütliches Restaurant. Essen war sehr lecker, Portion ausreichend und der Service prima.

Ich schließe mich allem an, was ich hier lese und bin wieder einmal dankbar für Qype. Gerade in Stockholm bist Du echt verloren, wenn Du Dich nicht auskennst, essen gehen möchtest, trotzdem anschließend die nächste Miete zusammenbekommen musst und es auch noch schmecken soll.
Jemand hat sich hier über Muffigkeit beschwert, das konnten wir nicht nachvollziehen. Ein durchaus authentisches Lokal mit einem gemütlichen Gewölbe. Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen liebenswürdig und aufmerksam und hat immer wieder nach uns gesehen, obwohl sie eine Menge Gäste im Auge behalten musste. Wir hatten zunächst einen Teller für uns beide mit vier verschiedenen Heringsvariationen, auf den man aber meines Erachtens verzichten kann: es gibt nichts zu beanstanden, aber die paar Häppchen sind nicht soooo sensationell.
Der empfohlene Schnaps (verdammt, was war das jetzt bloß für einer?) war ausgezeichnet und dann kam unser Hauptgericht, die Elchklopse (Älkbullar oder so ähnlich). Ein ganz eigener Geschmack, sehr schön würzig, gut zubereitet, einfach ein Genuß. Macht mit drei Bieren ca 600 SEK für zwei Personen, das sind knapp 70 EUR in richtigem Geld, aber für Stockholm scheint mir das noch günstig zu sein.
Wenn man einmal richtig schwedisch essen gehen will (und ich finde, das sollte man!), dann ist man in diesem Lokal zwischen Gamla Stan und Södermalm gut aufgehoben!

Der Mittagstisch im Bla Dörren ist ausgezeichnet, man hat werktäglich die Auswahl aus 2 verschiedenen Gerichten, meist mit Fisch oder Fleisch. Dazu gibts frische Salate vom Buffet, welche man sich selbst zusammenstellt. Und wie immer den Kaffee am Schluß, zum Nachfüllen selbstverständlich. Das Bla Dörren liegt sehr zentral direkt bei Slussen im Süden Södermalms.

Mal wieder ein guter Tipp von Qype. Wir saßen draußen,
Stockholms Bevölkerung zog in Sommerkleidung an uns vorbei. Die Bedienung war nett, auch unsere Fragen wurden gut und
prompt beantwortet. Das Essen war wirklich gut und umfangreich, kann ich
empfehlen. Ich habe auch gelernt, dass es in Schweden üblich ist zur
Heringsplatten-​Vorspeise einen Schnaps zu trinken. Die Auswahl an Schnäpsen
war groß, ich habe mich für einen Meerrettichschnaps entschieden, hat gut zum
Hering gepasst.

This restaurant serves Scandinavian food. They have very reasonable lunch prices (less than 100 SEK) offering meat, sea food, vegetarian alternatives additionally a salad is available. Lunches include a beverage, the salad buffet and coffee.
Their a-​la-​carte menu is great too with some very typical Swedish/​Scandinavian dishes. Further they have a great beer selection!
Good quality but maybe not always the food suitable if you’re on a diet…

Wir sind auf der Suche nach schwedischem Essen durch die blaue Tür gewandert. Den Tip bekamen wir von einem Koch in Gamla stan, der uns versprach, dass es dort nicht so viele Touristen gebe und sich dort lieber die Einheimischen treffen. Offensichtlich hat der Geheimtip sich aber doch schon etwas herumgesprochen Das Essen war allerdings trotzdem köstlich und vor allem wirklich schwedische Hausmannskost. Herrlich! Ausprobieren!

In der blauen Tür wird Hausmannskost im rustikalen Ambiente serviert. Das Restaurant ist beliebt bei Stockholmern um die 50 und, da es in einigen Reiseführern steht, kleineren und größeren Touristengruppen. Ein leckeres, solides Abendessen mit beispielsweise Pytt i panna, Elgbullar und diversen Fischgerichten.

Laut Reiseführer eines der ältesten und traditionsreichsten Restaurants in Stockholm.
Da wir im Sommer da waren, konnten wir auf der Veranda Platz nehmen (für den Fall, dass es kühl werden sollte liegen dort Fleecedecken bereit). Das war auch ein großes Glück, denn innen ist es schon ziemlich düster und muffig.
Super nette Bedienung.
Die Karte ist sehr übersichtlich und die Gerichte sind (natürlich) sehr schwedisch. Ich kann auf jeden Fall die Aelgbullar empfehlen.

Es war hervorragend! Bedienung supernett, der Kellner hinter der bar sehr lustig, essen einwandfrei und zum guten Preis! Nur für die Toilette sollte man die Treppe nach unten nehmen — dringend :)

Aufgrund der guten Bewertungen haben wir dieses Restaurant entdeckt und wurden nicht enttäuscht.
Die Fleischbällchen aus Elchfleisch waren super, mein Gericht (sowas ähnliches wie Gröstl) war ebenfalls großartig und das «Bier des Monats» war zwar teuer (weiß man von Schweden) aber auch sehr gut.
Der Blick von der Terrasse auf das Wasser war an diesem Traumtag super. Der Verkehr auf der angrenzenden Straße hat sich in Grenzen gehalten.
Die Bedienung war freundlich und die Preise für schwedische Verhältnisse ok.

Und da sich Straßen, Wasser, U-​Bahn so alles um Slussen herum dreht, finden wir gleich am Södermalmstorg das richtige Restaurant.
Gutes Essen fängt mit dem Trinken an — und trinken wir mal Bier: hier gibt es ziemlich viele Sorten aus Schweden — und ich möchte mich mal für die beiden Sorten des Braumeisters aussprechen
Wer mag mal Elch probieren? Die berühmten Fleischbällchen (die vielleicht mancher schon aus einem bekannten schwedischen Möbelhaus kennt) gibts dort mit Elch — aber schon etwas länger gezogen. Sehr gut.
Irgendwie noch mehr mochte ich den Graved Lax. Und das ist Lachs, mit der berühmten Soße, wobei sich das Grünzeug — dem Koch sei Dank — in Grenzen hält.
Hat man das Glück (und die Geduld), an der kleinen Veranda zur Straße zu sitzen, gibts zum Essen und Trinken noch viel Aussicht über das Wasser und Leute beobachten.
