This was a disappointing gastronomic experience. The pictures on this page are fairly representative. The food is greasy and not made with love. Lacks exciting tastes. I would not recommend.

In making a last-minute visit to Sweden, I didn’t do my usual anal research in trying to find the must-eat places in Stockholm, so when we got to our hotel, it was up to the Unilocal app to help us identify a nice place for a late lunch. As it turned out, we were just a quick stroll away from the bustling Stockholm Central Station. Right next to the Burger King kiosk was this unusually refined dining destination amid the hubbub of commuters going back and forth from the train platforms. It turned out to be a Michelin-starred French brasserie run by executive chef David Gard, where our main goal was avoiding a sprained ankle from all the hard-case roller luggage European travelers seem to favor. You know you’re in a fancy place when most of your complimentary bread basket is filled with buttery croissants(photo: ). Jamie W. and I were kinda starving because we didn’t have anything to eat since our buffet breakfast back at the hotel. We exhausted ourselves by overdoing our karaōke performances at ABBA The Museum and then making our way back to the city center. That was our flimsy excuse to order big, and we did. Jamie had the 225KR French Half Chicken(Majskyckling) with vegetables, a buttery foie gras sauce and fried potatoes(photo: ). It was downright decadent with the chicken slathered in butter and foie gras quite plentiful. The fries were a bit disappointing as they were slightly burnt(photo: ). I splurged even more by ordering the 315KR Ribeye Steak(Entrecôte), a particularly thick cut in a rich bernaise sauce(photo: ) accompanied by a hearty tomato salad, hand-cut fries and gravy(photo: ). The steak was delicious, perfectly cooked medium-rare but awfully big for just one person. The tomatoes provided a nice, fresh contrast. We decided to share the 195KR White Asparagus(Vit Sparris) covered in Hollandaise sauce, roe, crispy rye bread and herbs(photo: ). It was an unusual combination of flavors but probably quite Swedish in appeal and taste. No dessert for the wicked as we had a boat to Helsinki to catch. FOOD — 4 stars… top-drawer French cuisine, hearty portions, moderate prices AMBIANCE — 3.5 stars… as elegant as a train station can afford though a bit crowded especially with luggage strewn about SERVICE — 4 stars… genuinely friendly staff who speak impeccable English TOTAL — 4 stars… first-class brasserie amid the harried train passengers

This is something as unusual as a good restaurant at a train station. Stations as well as airports are otherwise often places where prices are high and quality low so it is refreshing to see someone doing something different. Luzette is nicely designed and there is the option to have proper food or just a quick coffee as well as of course food to take away and even things to take home to cook at home. I have been here fir dinner, lunch as well as just grabbing a quick bite. On all occasions service has been really good, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Especially the dinner experiences have been good and I can highly recommend ordering anything from the rotisserie grill. The chicken I had was magical and the sides were nicely matched. The price level is perhaps not low but I do feel that it is still not bad value for money, The coffee is also acceptable and the sandwiches and salads are also nice so I often find myself drawn here when I pass by.

My first meal upon visiting Stockholm is Luzette! It is conveniently located in the Central Station. The food and service here is superb! I ordered the crispy duck with red cabbage, brussel sprouts, and potato cake. The red cabbage complimented the tender and juicy slices of duck. The potato cake was buttery and moist. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive.

I always thought that dining in train stations was romantic and this bistro continues the fantasy. We stumbled in because it seemed to be the only place open on New Year’s Day. Everything was delicious and refined, with a special mention for the desserts and the bread. The menu is very enticing, I wanted to try everything. The waitress was impeccable and made us feel quite at home. Altogether a delightful experience.

Very yummy and fresh food with a friendly wait staff. My favorite and most surprising bite came in the side tomato salad. In the mix of tomatoes there were a few chilled confit cherry tomatoes that burst with sweetness. Also the pickled shallots gave a nice tart bite. My entrée — Fish and shellfish«Wallenbergare» with clarified butter, peas and potato purée — was very good as well. Wasn’t too sure what a wallenbergare was, but it is a fish/shellfish cake(think crab cake but lighter) that is fried a crispy golden color. It comes with pickled onions that paired well against the creamy potato purée and clarified butter. The 2013 Henri Bourgeois, «Les Baronnes», Sancerre, Loire(France) was smooth and crisp. Highly recommend if you love Sancerre, Sauvignon Blanc, etc. Lastly, the cappuccino was creamy and had a great intense flavor. Yum!

Generally at airports, railway stations and metro stations you pay a lot of money for food that’s not even good, luzette however is an exception! The food here isn’t cheap but it’s exceptionally good and we’ll worth the money you spend! The interior is nice and even though it’s a big dining area the sound is not that loud. The service is friendly and attentive, there did not seem to be a sommelier among the staff but the wine recommendations to the food was decent. So why 5 stars? The first course, salmon was light and refreshing. The main course confit rainbow trout had nice clean flavors and the other main we tried chicken was perfectly cooked. The chocolate terrine for dessert was a killer(big enough for two). It might be hasty with 5 stars after just one visit but we had a really nice dinner and this is definitely a place I will come back to(even though it’s located at the central station).

Luzette is a great little bistro: lively, yet able to have conversations without being drowned out; a creative menu, yet small enough not to be overwhelming; and a staff that is attentive, and skillful(their recommendation for my main was perfect). I went for a business lunch, and was in and out in an hour. I’ll definitely go again.

On est revenu en soirée pour un repas, très bien servi et délicieux, service correct et bien tenu, une bisque de homard et un saumon suédois qui ont libéré tout le plaisir de la table. Si vous passez près de la gare centrale, vous pouvez vous y arrêter.

Don’t you think there is something romantic about old train station buildings? Well if you want to keep that opinion do not visit Stockholm Central Station! The station is slowly shaping up and Luzette, the latest restaurant addition from Svenska Brasserier, sure helps to reclaim some of that old charm ambiance. Finally there is a nicer restaurant within the Stockholm Central Station where you can book a business meeting lunch or have an excellent meal in a pleasant environment with a friend leaving or coming into town! As soon as you step inside this eatery the kinship with its sister restaurants Sturehof and Riche is clear: brass light fixings, marble bar table tops and tile. Luxurious without being over the top, classic without being boring. The train station building is from 1871 which brings some old architectural charm into this place. We were a group of 7 for dinner here one evening and this review is based on that visit. The staff was very friendly and professional offering high standard service throughout our dinner. It was not evident that this was only their fourth night since they had first opened or that the restaurant was booked full. Victor Lagerstedt and Tommy Myllymäki are the two accomplished Swedish chefs(nothing to do with The Muppets, I promise!) who sets the tone in this kitchen. The heart of the menu comes from the rôtisserie(for example lamb, chicken, elk, and vegetables) but there are also classics like Ceasar salad and hamburger(which looked really good by the way). The food was well prepared and tasty but nothing out of the ordinary(hence the 4 star rating and not the 5). Two items on the menu were already sold out by the time we arrived at 7 pm. That said, all seven of us were very content with our dishes and my friend raved especially over the chicken and burrata salad she had ordered. When asked for a wine tip the waiter quickly suggested wine depending on main course which was both good and affordable. If you cannot stay for a sit down meal you can grab one of the already prepared dishes or perhaps a loaf of bread or some crispy bread to go. Their shop offers a wide variety of food and snacks for those who are in a bit of a rush. Over all we had a great experience at Luzette and I would love to come back, perhaps get wow: ed and change my rating to a 5-star!
