I really like the Story Hotel’s bar – not as an eating place, but for a drink. It’s chic inside and has a back outdoor seating area that reminds me of a few places in NYC. Ling Long is the new asian inspired restaurant inside of that same Story Hotel and I really am a bit disappointed with it. I have only ordered food from the bar side once and have been very disappointed on that occasion, but considering this was a «new place» I thought that I would give it a try in the hopes that it was better. Nope. The lunch prices were a bit high for a casual lunch and closer to gourmet – without actually being it. I think I paid about 180: — and change for terrible chicken Bibimbap. I could think of a million places off the top of my head that would have been a better and cheaper lunch option in the area. I would be ok to pay a higher price tag because of the elevated location and ambiance this place provides(It does have a decently designed interior!) if the food was even just«good». However, this was far below my expectations. I’ve become a fan of those Panini Internazionale boxes that you can buy at ICA and take home to make Bibimbap yourself. I have to say that their grocery store box is like a trillion times better than what I got here. Ling Long’s bibimbap was bland, uncolorful and had a slight hint of … curry? …I think. Not a fan. I will continue to come to the bar for a drink once in a while, because I like the look of the place. I will not be back for the food. =P
